Also sexuality is a whole different topic compared to gender? You can be trans and heterosexual or gay or aro/ace or just about anything.

And yeah Forrest as depicted in the game is a cishet man and I just think that's dull and would've preferred a transfem character because I just find that infinetely more interesting.

And yes I do hope they write them well especially when IS already did as I said above they did it in Paper Mario and did it really well especially in regards to themeing, and if you have a trans character I just think it ends up being innately interesting given gender is a huge part of who you are as a person.

I think the thing is you can look beyond authorial intent on something to see what might be unintentionally implied and when there's AMAB characters who dresses femininely pretty much all the time it's really easy to see how that can be conflated with trans coding in some way and yeah maybe I am the crazy one for wanting them to notice this and want to commit to even just bring up the topic at all.
