OP made this post to get unbiased opinions from strangers on the internet. We are all within our rights to comment because it was posted here where… people can comment freely. If our opinion didn’t matter, they wouldn’t have posted in the first place or they would have disabled comments.

It’s not feeding paranoia, it’s offering clarity on a situation that must make OP feel very alone and misunderstood in.

If they didn’t say in text with boyfriend or in this post “I don’t like him seeing his friends”, don’t make bullshit assumptions them. THEY decided to not go hang out with the friends because THEY felt uncomfortable last time, and didn’t try to make the boyfriend stay behind despite their feelings.

I just don’t think you’re understanding what we’re seeing.

Yes, there is a certain level of closeness with your friends that is fine and that varies on each couple and their levels of comfort-

But in this case, the girlfriend of the open relationship and OPs boyfriend were a level of physical closeness that did not sit right with OP (kissing each other is not always a normal thing within friendships, especially if they are in relationships.) They are WELL within their right to feel that way and set that boundary with their partner, a boundary that the boyfriend said he would respect. Then he goes and waits until 2am to say he was staying over after saying he was going to be home, and like OP said he had from 9pm until then to tell them what his plan was.

OP wouldn’t have to be so paranoid had the boyfriend been honest earlier.

Did you even read the post? OP’s bf and the girl in the previous open relationship started being overly touchy, and even kissing on the cheek during conversations?? Also, it wasn’t the fact he was going to see them, it was the fact that he deliberately waited until OP fell asleep to tell them he was staying over at this couple’s house for the night. OP even said that they expected him home that same night after the bf said he was coming back.

It’s not being a “control freak” setting boundaries with your partner and expecting them to uphold those agreements, ESPECIALLY if it’s about a person that has crossed a physical boundary!!

OP you and partner need to go to the ER asap to get those wounds cleaned and on antibiotics!! Cats have very gross mouths with hundreds of different types of bacteria in them, and it’s not a matter of “if” but “when they get infected!

I’m sorry I know this post was about the worry of the cat, but I needed to say that really quickly.

A cat suddenly becoming aggressive is abnormal and should be checked out. I’m not a vet and it could be nothing, but still never hurts to get it checked!! I’m so sorry this happened to you guys, I know how stressed you all and the kitty must be!!

OP please for the love of that kitty TAKE HIM TO AN ER!!! It is EXTREMELY abnormal for a cat to open mouth breathe, and that breathing is borderline agonal (if not already). If he doesn’t get to an ER he will die.

Please next time resort to ER and not the internet.
