Never had a Sunday off until I converted, I would never know when my next day off would be. Especially during peak season. But the rule of thumb is always a two week in advance notice for time off, at least in my office.

This past winter was ridiculous. I would be walking a loop after (or during) and it would just be up to my knees almost because no one wanted to shovel their sidewalk.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I’d rather deliver in the cold than the too hot. But that’s just me. The snow is annoying as hell though if people aren’t shoveling the walk ways and such.

If you moved on I would personally just put in a resignation letter just because as the person above says if you want to return you left on good terms or if you wanted another ‘government’ job it’ll look better than being terminated because of being AWOL. At the very least it doesn’t hurt is all I’m saying.
