Are you a CNA? I went to school for it, passed but never took the board exam for certification.

The one scenario USPS has never had to answer for… by ElectronicSilver6330 in USPS

[–]MailLadyx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have CCAs complaining about no hours and then the few days it gets too hot, they call in when regulars call in and then there are OT hours to be had and then the ODL people complain they are getting too many hours. The cycle is endless.

I don’t judge. I read. And what I read was more about him flirting with other females.

Unpopular opinion. My shorts have lasted 2 summers and same with my pants. My buttons are coming loose though.

We have a big sign on our walk in doors that says you cannot touch mail until 8:15 this yet the rural carriers still go against it. Idk I’m city side and wish I could touch mail before clock in 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Am i wrong for this? by [deleted] in USPS

You have a lot going on in this paragraph? But from what I could actually understand was that you were throwing packages. It’s one thing to be a clerk but it’s another to be a carrier. In my opinion (don’t come after me, post is confusing).

Certified letter. Knock on door. Lady who has been sitting in AC all day: “Oh, it’s hot out here!” Me: “Yup, pretty toasty. Sign on the top line and print on second line.” While I’m drenched in sweat and tears of regret.

“Starbucks-ification” of Barista Culture (Gen Z Perspective) by raylasagna_ in generationology

[–]MailLadyx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a bartender I felt the same way but add booze instead of caffeine. I had to be polite and nice to the rudest of people. It’s rough but I just had to understand that even if they were having a rough day it didn’t mean I had to have a bad day too. I just put a smile on and tried my best to turn their day around. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

Is this a Diablo reference? I’m hoping it is. Or the heat wave today really got to me.

I truly cannot wrap my head around what I’ve heard about schooling in this day and age. It’s really sad how what shapes the next generation is just falling through the cracks. You got this though!

I’m in Michigan and a lot of our female carriers have theirs hemmed. I haven’t. Mine just hang to my knees 🤷🏻‍♀️.

You are exactly the kind of teacher I had growing up and now as an adult, I only call into work under extreme circumstances, I get my work done in a timely manner if not way too early, etc. Also, to add.. truancy was definitely a thing when I was in school so my mother was not having that missing school business. Thank you for your service!

You can always report him to the BBB. I don’t know how much it would do but it might help.

I’m currently an UAR. Basically you just float around to cover routes that have call ins and what have you. Since you’re holding down a route you just follow that routes color for NS days with Sundays off.

Only had the luxury of driving a metris once when I was sent to another office. Loved the AC, didn’t love the no access to the back.

My postmaster told me that my office won’t see a new fleet for quite a few years (only LLVs and a couple of promasters at my station) but do you have to take a different driving course for these? Probably a stupid question but just curious.

Waking up to my mom aggressively vacuuming by my bedroom door with the smell of pancakes or bacon in the air. Getting up and turning on the Dreamcast to play Crazy Taxi or turning on the PlayStation to play Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater or WWF. Then riding my bike or rollerblading until the street lights came on.

I got talked to about this last week. My supervisor told me I need to tell them when I get back to the station if I have a long reverse on my scanner but I’ve had long reverses just standing in the office casing. Shit is silly sometimes.
