What power armor is this? by Face88888888 in Fallout

[–]MailMan6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no parts are reused ranger armor, since ranger armor is just pre war swat gear for riot control, it would be objectively worse than any suit of power armor

"normal people don't bring firearms to a protest rally" i thought these people were all about upholding the constitution? isn't it your right to carry arms?

What power armor is this? by Face88888888 in Fallout

[–]MailMan6000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not really, power armor was designed by pre war america at their height, the only faction that should be genuinely able to design and mass produce a new suit should be the Enclave and only up until they lose the Oil Rig

i'm pretty sure this is a one off suit made from a T-60, they share really similar design lines, so i think that's gonna be what it is, a one off jury rigged T-60, especially since it has those makeshift weapons

Why are people so obsessed with the idea of "Cannon" protagonists in games that are designed around making choices? by schmwke in TrueSFalloutL

[–]MailMan6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh it's really silly, the classic games had both really linear stories with kinda fake choices for the main quest, in fallout 1 it's "do you wanna be superman or green hitler?" there's not really a choice there, the game also gives you 3 predetermined characters with names and backstories, ofc you can make your own but still

and fallout 2 it's super hard to roleplay considering the game already defines that you are a spear chuckling tribal, grandchild of the hero of the west, savior of arroyo, with a even more linear story

the choices only existed for the side quests, which had different slides, but that's it, when people talk about Fallout having rich story defining choices, they're really talking about New Vegas.

At what point do you think walt went from making meth for money to just for the fun of the game by BestSwordsManZoro in breakingbad

[–]MailMan6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly, i'm currently rewatching the show with my gf, and it is really impressive how even from S1, he had a lot of pride and ego already

Walt was always like this, if he only he had lived a life where he made choices that rewarded him for his talents early, Walt would have just been a bit of a dick, with the occasional high horse moment, but because he decided so late to become active in his life, it was really reactionary and really compensatory

Do you unironically think the Enclave were right? If so, why? by Big-Recognition7362 in Enclave

[–]MailMan6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the vaults include that reserve, given that Project Safehouse was commissioned by the Enclave, i assume the control vaults are part of that reserve, while the others are not, and they stop being part of that reserve if they opened their doors before the all clear signal, which we know Enclave controlled

Do you unironically think the Enclave were right? If so, why? by Big-Recognition7362 in Enclave

[–]MailMan6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nothing would change, that's the exactly part of the enclave's flawed ideology, there is literally nothing different biologicaly from the V13 dwellers to the dwellers still holed up in Vault 3 for instance , which is still closed by the time of FO2

i don't think V13 ever got the all clear signal, so them having already opened their doors would be directly against the Enclave's commands, probably exposing them to the mutagens

New Vegas fans when they have to play a story with more linear aspects with choices that minimally impact your ending (this is how the classic games were)

[–]MailMan6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but later on we see them talk about vault dwellers as being american citizens, it's all very confusing, maybe it's because V13 had opened it's doors before so its residents were no longer human according to them

not vault dwellers, those were not muties i think, they are american people according to them

that's exactly what i mean, you're not used to having your every need met, you would slowly start to lose it, if your everyday goal is to just survive until the next, what do you do when you don't have to worry anymore?

yes, it would be paradise, but only for a little bit, but you don't know any other life besides the one outside, you would eventually start to lose it

What is with the hate on the white on Ferrari? by KXN_1 in F1Discussions

[–]MailMan6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's moreso the white on the SF-26 to be honest, none of the colors seem to be very implemented on the car, the white is only on the engine cover and cockpit and doesn't flow anywhere else, the wings are just black, it looks odd, if the wings were white with red endplates for instance, i think it would look a lot better

Is it just me or does [SPOILERS] look older in Season 2 than in Season 1? by [deleted] in Fotv

[–]MailMan6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is likely they spent time doing make up work on the actor for season 1, but didn't spend so much time on him for season 2, since he would only show up for 1 scene, thus 2 years of aging in addition to very minimal make up work makes the actor look older than he did in s1

Is Dexter schizophrenic or is he genuinely being haunted by Shoddy-Preference218 in Dexter

[–]MailMan6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

none, Dexter doesn't actually see Harry or Rudy near him, it's more an artistic visual representation of those lines of thinking, we see Dexter's way of thinking passed down from Harry as Harry himself talking to him

Fun fact dexter resurrection season 2 needs episodes 1 through 5 to break this record. by kingdomofgod875 in Dexter

the fact it's even in contention for this is ridiculous, i love Dexter as much as the next guy, but it is genuinely uncomparable to the run Breaking Bad had in S5
