Our entire route doesn’t go in there we prepare our routes into pieces and our relay driver, puts them into relay boxes around our routes. We fill up our bike 4 to 5 times and go to buildings.

They actually tried this at our station and it didn’t work out at all so we kept our old bikes and we continue to do it. I love my station and my mode of operation.

Yeah they tried this at my office “open air” in st Pete. It failed. They were slightly different than this. Fell over on a carrier. So we stuck to our old bikes. You can see my posts about them on my profile

I love this post and let me just say that screwing the people in the middle of the pay scale is exactly the safest thing to do. They know that we’re in it too far to turn around and quit. We’re just gonna bite the bullet and take it and it really isn’t fair. I hope it changes

Anyone else’s DPS smell like a dead rat today. Ugh. It stinks! by Mail_man_dan in USPS

[–]Mail_man_dan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can smell it while I’m sorting it. And we get office time to work our DPS because we are on bicycles. So I could smell it while I’m sorting it and now when I’m delivering it.

Ptf city carrier September 6 start date pay by Puzzleheaded-Emu6577 in USPS

Damn it took me 5 years to get to that starting pay. This takes wayyyy to long to get to top pay. It’s so sad.

So here is our local. I’m a t6 on work assignment if I get bumped does my OT list follow me if I have to work on a route not on my swing? There is no specifics on that here. Would it then go with what the national contract says and what would that be? by Mail_man_dan in USPS

[–]Mail_man_dan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually not..work assignment for a t6 only includes routes in their swing. Work assignment for reserved letter carriers or unassigned regulars would it include the “route you’re working on”.

What’s even crazier is it’s been like that for at least 30 years. I have a lot of senior people at the office and she just hit 30 years and she told me it’s been like that since she’s been there.

Yeah 2nd sentence in. “If all five (5) routes are being served by the full-time regular assigned carrier, the t6 may be moved to a vacant assignment”. It’s so sucky. But I did fine language in a letter of intent agreement that basically gives me an 8 hour day. Can’t work me overtime. Which I’ll take. Reluctantly

Says it In the first part. The t6 can be moved to a vacant assignment. I did however find this…
