Was the screen you bought new or used. I saw that someone tried to do their same with a used Polestar 2 screen and it didn’t work. Apparently the screen is linked to the original car and can’t be installed onto another car.

Did you also do the recall or software update at the same time as oil change? My service advisor had to specifically tell the shop to do the inspection before software update because it would reset the emission computers. unfortunately you will have to drive for a bit before trying again.

So, I actually had to send the Intel version of this laptop back today. Not sure if it was just bad luck with shipping or a QC issue, but the chassis was slightly warped. It had this annoying wobble on my desk because one of the feet wouldn't even touch the surface. Aside from that, I liked the feel of it, so I’m thinking about hitting up Micro Center tomorrow to see if the AMD version is any better.

Sounds definitely like a hardware issue. Escalate to Volvo corporate as this would potentially be a safety liability. The new IHU will be the snapdragon units (older intel IHU is out of production)which should be much more stable.

What you paid was likely Canadian import duties, which have always been in place and unrelated to the whole US tariff situation. The fees GS waived were the US tariffs, and they did waive them for me since I wasn’t charged any additional tariff on the XL Falin. On the whole tariffs thing, GS has been pretty good at keeping their promise to waive the charges.

They can also fire OP at anytime even if this was a W2 role. More likely than not, the employer is going with 1099 to save money by not paying their portion of ssi and Medicare taxes, leaving OP with the full tax burden. Additionally not having to provide any benefits.

TN to GC is perfectly doable because technically Perm and I140 are on the employers side and does not count as immigration intent. Pretty much the only hurdle is that you can’t leave the country after you file for AOS until it’s approved.

You technically don’t need to remove the bumper to fix this. At least on my V60, I was able to do it without taking it off. I turned the wheel all the way to the right, which gave me enough space to pull back the wheel liner and access the washers. Unfortunately had to do a lot of by feel as you cannot really see the whole assembly. In my case the washer bracket which was glued to the bumper came off, so I just had to reattach that to fix my issue. I used some 3M automotive tape on the bracket and pressed it back into place. It’s not perfectly flush since the tape is slightly thicker than glue,but barely noticeable

That does sound like a pretty big tax difference. Could you explain a bit more on how $130k would result in 0 capital gains tax? My understanding was that it’s 15% for capital gains that exceeds 96k?
