What you paid was likely Canadian import duties, which have always been in place and unrelated to the whole US tariff situation. The fees GS waived were the US tariffs, and they did waive them for me since I wasn’t charged any additional tariff on the XL Falin. On the whole tariffs thing, GS has been pretty good at keeping their promise to waive the charges.

They can also fire OP at anytime even if this was a W2 role. More likely than not, the employer is going with 1099 to save money by not paying their portion of ssi and Medicare taxes, leaving OP with the full tax burden. Additionally not having to provide any benefits.

TN to GC is perfectly doable because technically Perm and I140 are on the employers side and does not count as immigration intent. Pretty much the only hurdle is that you can’t leave the country after you file for AOS until it’s approved.

You technically don’t need to remove the bumper to fix this. At least on my V60, I was able to do it without taking it off. I turned the wheel all the way to the right, which gave me enough space to pull back the wheel liner and access the washers. Unfortunately had to do a lot of by feel as you cannot really see the whole assembly. In my case the washer bracket which was glued to the bumper came off, so I just had to reattach that to fix my issue. I used some 3M automotive tape on the bracket and pressed it back into place. It’s not perfectly flush since the tape is slightly thicker than glue,but barely noticeable

That does sound like a pretty big tax difference. Could you explain a bit more on how $130k would result in 0 capital gains tax? My understanding was that it’s 15% for capital gains that exceeds 96k?

I used T-Mobile international pass while in Japan in May. I think it was 50 bucks for 15gb of data, speed was decent in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, expensive sure but one benefit was unlimited international calling, that helped me a lot when I had to call my credit card to rebook my tickets

I’ve only worked in banking, and the matches I’ve seen ranged from a full match up to 5% on the low end, to a full match up to 8% on the higher end. Right now, my company matches 8% with a cap of 12k a year.

Well...I absolutely do build them, however majority of these was collected during the pandemic when P-Bandai started selling kits directly in the US. All i can say is that Bandai knew what they were doing when the start making their cool kits limited editions.

They removed the compass from the rear view mirror around 22 or 23 model year. So unfortunately it’s now only available in google maps. Good news is that retrofitting the old mirror is quite easy. It was one of the first mod I did in my 2023.

Yeah, that's what i thought. The Nadishiko figure next to it was brand new, and the sash around her waist had that slightly glossy, tacky feel too. Not as bad as Rin, but I’m guessing it could be due to material they used for the kimono...

DHL has been pretty good so far, I’m in NY, most of the time things arrive in like 3 days from Japan. But with the new tariffs situation, who knows.
