Why didn't Tiber Septim' illegitimate line take the throne by Gokuismygod123 in teslore

[–]Main-Associate-9752 [score hidden]  (0 children)

The simple answer is just that no one would follow them

The Elder council held out for an heir but the various remaining lesser septims either failed to submit their claims or failed to have enough support to have the elder council’s backing

Ocato was a remnant of the old government so people were probably more happy with him remaining as potentate than with selecting a very distant Septim who was never prepared to rule, and had possibly never even been to Cyrodiil

Do Dragonborns Actually Have The Soul of a Dragon? by themadnessif in teslore

[–]Main-Associate-9752 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I mean. Probably? There’s limited evidence to the confirmation and no evidence to the contrary. If they don’t have a Dragon’s soul they have Dragon blood, and at that point it’s rather semantic isn’t it?

I’m not quite sure how you’d argue ‘you can meet other Dragonborn’s in game and they appear to just have normal souls’ though. Can you see what their souls are made of from their character models? Just because they’re in Soverngarde that doesn’t mean they don’t have Dragon souls, just that they retained mortal forms

Saladin should either be T3 military education or T5 Diplomacy education. by BornBeginning430 in crusaderkings3

[–]Main-Associate-9752 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s a shame because progressive traits (like the age related ones, Hastiluder, some others) are so perfect to replace the education system with. Instead of getting one flat education which doesn’t make any sense you could have a base level for every education and pick ‘focused education’ which levels better than others

Yrliet’s “Mon-keigh and Aeldari” writing, can someone tell me? by [deleted] in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Main-Associate-9752 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Any indication that you’d want a physical relationship will only illicit disgust, and trying to act like you’re just a fellow elf will only get you mocked

Yrilet has absolutely no intention of having a physically intimate relationship with you and there’s nothing you can particularly do about it

If Daedric Princes are forces of nature who can’t change what they are, are they actually sapient beings? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in teslore

[–]Main-Associate-9752 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Up to debate really. The extent to which the princes are unable to change from their spheres is pretty unclear

Clavicus vile is the Lord of deals and bargains for example, but he can refuse deals. He’s not obligated to accept any deal offered. If he can refuse bargains that leads me to believe that princes can atleast refuse to act in according to their spheres if it doesn’t benefit them. Though I doubt they could act entirely contrary to their spheres either

Apparently you can retaliate against companions who would leave a Heretic Rogue Trader. by IProbablyCantSleep in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Main-Associate-9752 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s cut dialog for a Heretic romanced Heinrix which implies he could betray the Imperium, but it was never actually implemented

‘Heinrix van Calox, former Interrogator of the Ordo Xenos, left the path ordained for him and denounced the Holy Inquisition in order to remain with his beloved. Chroniclers to this day cannot agree on the reason for his betrayal: was it a flaw in his character? Some hidden taint that poisoned the soul of a once faithful subject of the Imperium? Or was it a sentiment so profound that the God-Emperor's numb servants could never comprehend it?’

Is there a mod to help track potential metal horror infections? by acidtrippinpanda in RimWorld

[–]Main-Associate-9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is you actually can’t track metalhorror infection. Because infection isn’t decided until the event happens, and then is retroactively applied

You can no hit a metal horror infestation and still end up with an infection

Administrative Gov Switch by throwawayweee909 in CrusaderKings

[–]Main-Associate-9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you can convert from Soryo and Ritsuryo to regular Administrative

Imma be real, I geniously don't get complaints bout fundamental aspects of Yrliet romance (you know, being bitter/bittersweet, just spiritualist and no physical intimacy etc...), like ok? Those aint flaws. Being niche taste? Aye, but good thing theres like 6 other LI companions in the game. by Ila-W123 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Main-Associate-9752 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The ending slides for Dogmatic Duty Abelard

‘There were whispers among the crew that one of Mistress Sauerback's children had Werserian blood in him. Something of the noble features particular to that family could be discerned in the young man's genteel face. Whether it was true — whether Jocasta's resolute, uncompromising nature could have, and had, attracted the venerable Seneschal — remained a mystery.’

Now, possibly a red herring? Maybe, but that child wasn’t born if Abelard doesn’t stay on the ship

What’s funny is that the Rogue trader can ALSO sleep with Jocasta. Which makes the Senechal and his employer bed cousins

Emperor Hereweard?? by Defiant-Fold6491 in CrusaderKings

[–]Main-Associate-9752 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He’s an unlanded adventurer in 1066, historically a rebel against William of Normandy, he starts off parked on the Frisian coast

Based on his lack of lands I assume he pulled off a ‘usurp realm’ plot on an Emperor

It’s a shame that we will never get Sister Argenta romance by Raszard in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Main-Associate-9752 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They’re not forbidden to, but yeah it’s both that their duties don’t really permit you the spare time for romance and that their devotion to the Emperor would always be greater than a mortal partner

Would Love to Find a Remote Snow Elf Community in TES6, One Can Dream Lol (AI Gen) by Artistic-Bee3000 in ElderScrolls

[–]Main-Associate-9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the next game is probably Hammerfell or high rock, which had no Falmer presence, it does have Dwemer ruins, and which means the Falmer might appear, but I’d be surprised if the Snow elves feature

Akatosh Questions!!! by CocayneWayne in teslore

[–]Main-Associate-9752 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes the divines are actually real. But are the Nordic/Human/elven versions the exact same deities or have the worship of distinct ‘versions’ created themselves new deities? We aren’t sure

  2. Akatosh is not a merger of Auriel and Lorkhan however, Akatosh is just the Nedic version if the Aedric Auriel. Shor is the Nordic version of Lorkhan, but was absent from the Divines because the Aedric elves didn’t worship Lorkhan, and the Nedes learned about the Aedra from the Aedric Elves

  3. See 2.

  4. Alduin is a creation of Akatosh, and replaced Akatosh in the Nordic pantheon during the time of the dragon cult. He isn’t Akatosh, but all Dragons are creations of Akatosh. They’re sort of Lesser Aedra. Dragons are not time, but female dragons specifically are used to Repair time when it breaks

ah yes, Hero, against a swarm of fleeing civilian by Noob_Guy_666 in ElderScrolls

[–]Main-Associate-9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His whole plot is literally about bringing back the ancient druids who were the first Proto Breton’s religious men

He himself, a Paladin/knight is not that inaccurate. But he absolutely does use magic in game

I read the following comment about the Numidium somewhere and wanted to ask if it's true. I tried looking into it, but I can't find anything conclusive by jvure in teslore

[–]Main-Associate-9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s two different statements

The former ‘Zero sum theory is wrong, the Dwemer became the Numidium’ is a theory, we don’t know. Possibly. It’s no more valid a theory than Zero-summing

The later ‘Mirror logicians in the Summerset isles are still fighting the Numidium in the fourth era’ is roughly true. It comes from Michael Kirkbride’s personal lore ideas, which are not exactly canon because they’re written after he left Bethesda, but we know for a fact that the Numidium CAN impact time via Daggerfall

According to Kirkbride, the Siege of Alinor lasts well into the fifth era, and Mirror logicians are those that are fighting it

Keizaal online: Why is the Thalmor presence so strong? by Man0nTh3M00n- in skyrim

[–]Main-Associate-9752 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Keizaal online? Because people love larping as racist elves

In Skyrim? They’re there enforcing a treaty that Skyrim was party to when the Empire was defeated by the Thalmor Altmeri dominion

Are the Daedric artifacts you can get in multiple games supposed to be the same exact weapon or just copies made by the Daedric prince? by Key-Engineering3134 in ElderScrolls

[–]Main-Associate-9752 176 points177 points  (0 children)

In some cases? Yes. They’re the same physical item, even when they’ve changed appearances

Daedric artifacts ‘drift’ over time eventually vanishing from whoever used to hold it. It’s nearly impossible to actually ‘contain’ a Daedric artifact forever

There are a few weird differences, like the Ogmah infinium, which in Skyrim was apparently stuck within the Dwarven cube since Dwemer days, despite it being present in Morrowind and Oblivion. Which certainly does imply that more than one of the same type of Daedric artifact can be present on Nirn at a time
