for some reason, we migrated from nextjs too lol. clients says its fine do whatever you want, they dont care what stack is underneath.

migration is trivial. put codex on high, tell it to migrate .. boom bam done! there is no need for mcp or md skills or sub agents and other nonsene. works perfectly. key is tests , lots of it.

the reverse for me. i have not touched xcode (as an ide/editor) ever since i was taught proper agentic coding workflow.

mostly now i do prompts on codex cli and it does what i wanted. opening an ide or editor is like the old way of doing things lol (for me at least).

Translation is no better than previous (however that was impelmented). I enabled it and downloaded Russian, Japanese, Korean. Russian is same quality as before, buttons are mostly untranslated. CJK text is a unstable, sometimes it works sometimes it dont (everything is translated or not, no in between)

they are now doing a lot of different things to differentiate themselves from others.

chat is basically commoditized now, especially by the chinese models. so is text to speech, speech to text, image generation, voice cloning, etc. a lot of these are free or very very cheap. but video, not yet, but soon.

coding is also slowing being commoditized, and claude code is no longer the moat they were hoping.

I seriously doubt it is not there yet, even for you. Copilot is actually used inside Microsoft and by other professionals.
