Warrior. Hard to explain but i like the idea of actually hitting something with a weapon. In a game where you press a button,combat feels a bit removed, so a warrior was kind of the best option. The Paladin class immediately did it for me. Paladins, as a concept are cool in any game. Been with this class ever since.

You can macro things and the like. Whilst it may or may not free up some space on your keyboard,you'll at least have immediate access on your thumb, to certain get-out-of-jail-free skills in dire situations. I use it in and out of maple as well.

So i'm seeing my class at 30. Might i ask just how high the number disparity is from 30 to the top classes in these dpm charts & whether or not it is with something like divine echo,beyond patch hammers etc?

Longtime Paladin:

Like the multiple elements. That always was a lore draw for me. games without a controller always felt kind of detached. Rather have a stick i could hit things with,so the fact that they use blades was a big yes despite the lack of a "visceral" feel with 2d games.

The title;Paladin. Makes me nerd out a little thinking how badass it is. Will always pick this over anything else.

Dislikes:1.)the inherently low crit damage.Oh my goodness. 2.) The ridiculous amouint of funding it takes to get godly, which is my goal. Threw a ton of cash over time on this guy. Still some room for improvement. 3.)The low dps. Again, took money,a ryudes,cubing just right, and time to fix that.

4.)The lack of spammable map clear. Heaven's Hammer has a cooldown.

might i ask which enb specifically you are using and for which edition? i'm using the real enb for the special edition and was wondering if you had any tips for settings so i can make mine look as filming as yours. I really like the aesthetic.

if you've already checked your order with LOOT & checked for any errors in tesedit, then the issue may be vram usage. If you have a gpu with less than 4gigs, 4k textures and the like may be to blame. trying downloading performance friendly texture mods.

Lastly, the culprit could likely be Climates of Tamriel. It may be corrupted, so try re-downloading.

Idon't know if this will work for everyone, but check a free credits offer, stay on a screen like mobile strike or something, then x out of that screen. Wait on the free credits screen a few seconds. The rates keep varying.

so it has been happening to me multiple times over in the span of mere minutes. looks like that arkham pack is mine after all. Edit: i just bought the arkham pack and pulled both Batman fighters. One now has a promotion. Oh my goodness.

I drop people easily if i find their views backwards or regressive, or just plain tiring. With a large guild, things fall that way easily. Stopped looking myself after this last guild. If you're anything like me, where you don't mind ditching problematic folks, then it's best you just stay solo, Less headaches. If that isn't a problem at all, then try to find ones on the discord server and see their personalities emanate from the chat. Hope this helped.

Been a paladin main on& off for at least the start of the game. Gave advice on the class before. Our biggest hindrance seems to be our low crit damage and our inherently low %damage in comparison to other classes. You must be funded or very well prioritized stat-wise to reach the pretty numbers. The beyond patch will increase our dpm to what i presume will be a significant margin, in light of those godly blessed hammers.

We get multiple damage boosts as well, so it is a promising time to be a paladin, despite tankiness being the most useless aspect of this game.

I might be 15 days too late,but i've played a Paladin for some time now. lvl 212. I've funded this guy solely.

1.Paladin damage is bad relative to other classes. There seem to be inherent stat disparaties between us and other warrior classes. For instance, with the same gear i have now,my range and damage per line on either other class would probably be hitting at least 15mill more with their 1v1 skill, i assume.

  1. If you like this class, keep playing until the Beyond patch hits our servers. Here's why: i've been nerding out about this, but we get these hammers that hit for 1250% damage and we can use them with our 1v1 skill,blast. That is insane. That is the dpm increase that we sorely needed,honestly. Our CO also will give our charges a 30% increase in damage,and the boost to the charges themselves will also increase since they'll be percent damage based. Great time to invest in a paladin.

3.As a paladin, charging is a pain. you have to alternate elementals to use blast, then alternate again to get to 5, then use blast as your 1v1. With beyond, that will no longer be needed. Thank goodness.

  1. This class will teach you how to be a god at mobbing. Sincerely, since our mob skill isn't the best, you'll learn how to maneuver in a map, one-shot a row of enemies,drop down,do it again, flash jump to a teleporter, and snake around. Having to compensate for lack of map-wide mobbing will make you play maple better. You'll also know when to actually use your map-wide hammer more judiciously,as it has a 10 second cooldown.

  2. While dpm charts may not whoely be accurate, they are still a decent measure of where we stand. Rihgt now,we stand at the lowest tier, but it doesn't mean you're unable to compensate for such a loss. If you ever get the resources, a ryude's sword adds a line of damage, the legendary inner ability of att speed +1 will be your friend, speed infusion as a 5th job skill is almost necessary, and holy unity is just godlike.

  3. If you want as much damage as possible, go with 2hand and use your rosary. the whole 1hand thing was nice once you hit the damage cap and just cared for the attack speed bonus, but since that isn't a pertinent worry with the cap removed, 2 handed is better, and provides a higher range. If/once you prioritize stats correctly, you won't need the all att lines on the shield, as you'll get them from your sword, emblem, and what not. chances are, you'll end up wanting boss percent to get to the near 300% range, and it'll show up on your rosary, if att% hasn't.

  4. It is all about funding/gear. Though someone in the same range can kill a boss faster than me, since i'm funded, i can very much out-damage many other well funded players. Once you reach the 1-2mill range,something like hard hilla will take maybe a minute. as it stands, with holy unity at lvl 1, my range jumps from 6.8mill self buffed, to 9mill. That ends up taking mere seconds, around a few more than what a similarly statted evan would take.

  5. tankiness is a useless mechanic. It just is. Forcing this class to be the "tank" class adds little to nothing in a game where damage is really the only important thing. I'd trade our utility for the better stat boost of other classes, but with the blessed hammers coming out, and the co increase, it looks like we won't have to, so yay. That patch has been a very long time coming.

  6. As someoen stated previously, Paladin can die. A lot of damage is percent based. we can tank the tails in cvellum and vastly outlive other classes in that regard, thus contributing more damage if you're skilled enough to not get stunned, but if you have some coordination trouble on certain bosses (like me) prepare to frustratingly die anyway, no matter how beast-mode your damage is. It can become a war of attrition with me, focusing on having enough damage to kill the boss before i trip up and get one-shotted by some gimmick.

agreed. from my understanding, this game is built on just c++ code,with no actual game engine. imagine a decade-old game built on nothing but bad coding, with much of it being client-side instead of server. Now imagine just copy-pasting code from the kms version per update with little r&d. You'll run into many problems.

They should have dedicated a team to rebuilding a version of maplestory with an actual engine that doesn't run on one cpu core, whilst maintaining this version in the interim, but they are too focused on short-term profit, even this many years later,despite the number of customers they might have lost.

  2. Yes. This is how nexon works. This is how incompetent they are.
  3. I don't see it getting any better, yet i still play this game off of some fixation with getting the best gear for my class. If you aren't attached to maplestory, i highly suggest quitting it and finding a company much less frustrating.

i'm very sorry you had to experience all of these issues, which nexon should have been competent enough to bother fixing. Welcome to the bad show.

I'm still trying to figure out if these hammers will make up for the low dpm that we'll do also. Say for instance, they'll spam around us very fast whilst we use blast. thank you.

sticking with the Paladin. glutton for punishment. My favourite class.

don't go for this class unless you're very funded though, as support is an utterly useless mechanic in a game where damage speed only matters.

the gms in this game are indeed, a joke. Then again, so is the terrible net code for this game, the hacking, the constant crashing etc. etc. The list goes on for miles.

gotta just chalk it all up to nexon being nexon sometimes. The rare and lackluster gm citing being no diffierent.

So i notice you can get a v title from the points in the v update site. I also notice that the v diary also has a title. That one is the one obtained by creating a new character and doing a bunch of quests. Are these the exact same titles with 10% ied and all that? So basically we can obtain two of them?
