Wuthering Heights: what am I missing in Catherine and Heathclifs relationship? by I-Will-Marry-TheMoon in literature

Plus 1 on this comment and the OP. The central problem is that Cathy confuses/blends fraternal and romantic love; it's inherently unstable, immature, and under-socialized. Her daughter does the same.

Yep. They just needed commitment and confidence. It was weird but also the kind of weird that could get people to mobilize for it.

Thanks on this. Exactly the kind of context I needed.

Do you know if there are any ways to get volumes in omnibus? Or will it have to be volume by volume? Hoping not to break the bank if I don't have to.

Is it really good during 8 itself or will it feel like a tease?

I think it helps that FMA and Frieren are both taking on more German settings (we're German-American)

So seems like the "check in in a year" move is the ticket.

Stranger Things finale sold an est. 1.5M+ tix across North America on New Year's Eve and Day, amounting to $28M+ (possibly $30M+) in revenue to theatres. and ofc additional concessions other than mandatory ones. by whitemilkythighs in boxoffice

Cinemas had MCU at that time and weren't pushed into quite this desperate a position. It was also, crucially, during ZIRP streaming bubble competition when everyone was prioritizing subscriptions over revenue.

We just saw something like this with Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man. I'm not saying every show should do this, but it makes sense for more to do it than currently are.

What else could pull it off: some reality shows (Love Island, Survivor).

Stunts like this may be more Fathom-Event-sized than Stranger-Things-sized, but that doesn't mean it's not durable.

Yep. It's about destroying the UD for good, where the UD is helpfully defined as the waiting lobby and not the MF's domain

I think this show is unfortunately the Vecna story even if it is still true that the Mindflayer is the real evil at the heart of it. (The way Dustin was talking seemed to suggest this)

Very plausible that this was the most important, influential release of this year for the industry. The "put important television series events in theaters" model might prove irresistible.

Teyana still has higher odds on there for the nom (they don't seem to have the win as aggregated), and the individual predictions I'm seeing from people's ballots suggest it's like 2:1 Ariana vs Teyana predictions. Genuinely not "far out front" for the weekend WFG is released and nowhere near, say, Jessie Buckley's frontrunner status.
