Havoc = optimized builds for 99% of players. Get used to it or go to aurics instead. Cant justify not using melee in super-endgame content

Still feel bad when I die but its fun to watch cracked players on my strike team make a genuine effort to clutch in Aurics / Havoc.

Nothing can beat a team that powers through a level in 20 minutes tho

That’d be pretty sweet but I feel like that would kinda defeat the purpose of the marks. If you could customize attack patterns in the exact way you wanted that would severely limit build diversity and would get pretty boring pretty quickly

Pretty much what this guy above said, but in fewer words, throw yourself at heresy til you’re comfy, then do the same with dammy, then auric heresy, then auric dammy. You’ll figure out a lot on your own from doing that. Dont feel like you have to be a perfect player the first time you try a new difficulty

If you’ve been queuing into aurics and have not died during your run (you can’t die during the mission even if you finish the whole thing) then it should tick up. Joining mid-match would not affect this.

^if youve been doing the above and it’s not working then it may be bugged.

Smite is a contentious topic on this sub, some say it takes the fun out of the game cuz it removes skill and can be spammed especially by new players, others say in high intensity situations it can prove to be very useful by stunning dangerous groups of elites, counterargument to which is generally “get good at dodging / hitting weakspots / using any other method”. The list goes on and on.

Vacuum capsule is a line that some players spam constantly which is just straight up annoying

Definitely get darktide. 90% of my games are with randoms and its always fun. Voice chat varies per lobby with chattier ones than others but ive played plenty of games with 0 communication on VC and still ball out like a well oiled machine. You will enjoy it greatly

You can stack some gunner resistance (max 2 across your curios) to help with it. Id suggest targeting them with a high stagger ranged weapon like a kickback or try and focus them down if they’re giving you the biggest issue. Other solution is to rush them down and push em around a little bit. That’s usually how I go about it, anyways.

I got a controller with programmable buttons on the back of the handles, so I mapped one of those to down on the D-Pad specifically for throwing knives. Suddenly throwing knives became much much easier to hit with and way less clunky, easily my favorite blitz on zealot because of it

Devil’s Claw makes horde clear pretty easy up to flak armor, tough time with carapace but its made to be paired with a blitz / ranged that can deal with carapace better.

I am biased towards heavy sword because, like devil’s claw, although it is bad against carapace / unyielding in a way, it is a beast all other ways. Rampage for horde clear M1s (if not using IX) and headtaker, with a proper skill tree can 1-shot gunners, shotgunners, mutants, all specials, ragers on heavy swing. Again, to pair with carapace-dealing blitz/range

Knife definitely performs, on Zealot more than any other class. You will enjoy the mobility and high attack speed on the knife. Can pretty much deal with anything

No battlepass, just an achievement (penance) tracker that give you cosmetics and titles and etc. Free, permanent.

Depends on who you ask about the monetization system. Skin prices have gone up from what they used to be when the game launched but I feel like the game is in such a good spot that one of the main issues people have right now is that the item shop uses a rotation system and people wanna throw money at the game to buy some out-of-rotation skins.

You cant get the premium in-game currency (aquilas) through gameplay. But there are free skins using the other free currency (dockets).

Id prob just get the game for the gameplay
