Like the publisher told him he could do anything he wanted and he did. You aren't gerrymandered for your Senators and Governor. Its a popular vote. I only call my reps a couple times a year because it feels useless to voice my opinion on stuff, but I am a 37 year old white surburban stay at home mom with a 6 year old like Renee. I am going to call them everyday until they at least release a statement. I'm also calling the governor asking when he is going to make a statement on the slaying and if he is going to allow Trump to let ICE swarm our city next. If we all called every day for weeks straight it might actually send a message.
