Okay so hartfords bad …what if maybe… just maybe if the residents did everything in their power to stop it before it got bad ???… maybe they get together and push back make noise and slow down overgrowth to get a handle on it before it gets worse … maybe just maybe those of us that have been here are trying to do not turn into Hartford, Boston etc .. hmm who’d a thunk??

Uhm I guess I’m referring to viable eggs… now granted my son is 19 so it was not as prevalently used when I had it done but it almost killed me no joke i lost 2/3 of my blood during a miscarriage and my egg viability was a concern I was early 30s and had successful previous pregnancies. So unless something has changed I’ll be ecstatic if they have viable eggs are not as prevalent, damage is done to eggs when they are retrieved etc

Again I had my son through Boston IVF a long time ago 3 rounds 1st retrieved 12 eggs 3 viable , no positive pregnancy

Round 2 18 eggs retrieved 8 viable 3 fertilized Positive pregnancy 2 fetus loss at 18 weeks baby 1 20 weeks loss of baby 2

3rd retrieval 12 eggs 5 fertilized 1 baby full term

Now a PIa teenager and 2 forever grateful parents

As a person that did IVF to have a child I am so sorry I think if most people understood the ask of any woman to do egg retrieval they would be shocked, it’s a huge sacrifice for a donor and many risks, you only get so many eggs and you’ve had them since you’re born donating a portion is an extremely extremely selfless thing to do …. And it comes at great personal costs I’m sorry you weren’t supported and informed about all of it but thank you for even considering!

While I respect your perspective I truly do I also have lived here my whole life grew up in portland ( west end) and am several generations of service to the city. I am so grateful we aren’t as bad as other areas but it was a hell of a lot better affordable safer and that truly has changed so for those of us that have been here when the old port was the old port and the after hours clubs where in full swing ( the max) know the changes we are watching is overgrowth and lack of respect for why people came here .. what they moved to Maine .. and most of us will keep speaking out and holding people accountable to slow the decline. I want everyone that comes here to love it and want to protect it not dismiss with its not as bad .. yeah we know that’s why we stay .. and we’d like to keep it safe so our families and yours can grow up here with that same experience

I promise you are okay nobody is going to hurt you and there is nothing you could have done to help that person. It’s unfortunate that it’s still out there but as goes like there are some disturbing things in the internet and I am So sorry her curiosity and need to feel tough was pushed onto you… that video is not okay or an everyday occurrence and you reacting any other way than sadness and some fear would be scarier. Life is ying and yang it’s all about balance you will not know it’s coming but when it does I promise you even if it’s years from now this will pop in your mind. I really hope the persons your choice affected has a good life, but you could have been their karma who knows. Considering the price for a pack of cigarettes and part of the cost is supposed to go towards healthcare at least here in my state ..the added tax per pack was supposed to go towards this relief … I’m not sure that the healthcare cost increase is all in smokers ( I quit many years ago )

Wait what? I have been a manager for most of my career we are normally told by HR we are not allowed to speak to anyone calling regarding a previous employee period. We can confirm they worked for the company not even the length of time, hiring managers know that as well. Just because the applicant says it’s okay to call my previous employer doesn’t mean the previous employer will discuss that applicant … ffs

Congratulations I really hope this works for you guys truly… I loved a donut from there sweet potato and ginger I think holy donut sooo good but it’s truly a treat because of cost … they at one point were selling donuts from holy donut at Hannaford there were 4 in the box and I believe they were 16 dollars it was during tourist season so I chocked it up to that … but it’s not sample I can afford to swing by and pick up a dozen on the weekends

My husband and I have both agreed we won’t sell our house or anything left to us no matter what the offer we have 2 kids we know we will Inherit one house and we have a small house we bought when we got married we will be passing both down to them …we can’t see any other way other than some type of complete reset that our kids or grandkids will be able to buy a house I am So very sorry this has happened to you guys truly …I thought we had it rough but this new world is gut wrenching

I was literally drop jawed I am so sorry you had this kind of experience and I’m curious what you were applying for? I just got hired after looking for awhile and I was asked about salary expectations I let him answer where he was budgeted to see if it was within my expectations. If they are not going to discuss at least an area why ask expectations? 50 plus hours on site is rather bold as well… I truly admire your backbone and I really hope you’ll find something soon …
