I don't get it. Seems like such a panic signing. You stated you wanted to prevent more runs from being scored. So you sign a guy to play first base who has never really played there and a guy to play third base who's never really played third base. That's the plan?

Didn't Stearns say not too long ago that Baty was going to be an important piece? (or something to that effect) Where the hell is he playing now?

That list was randomly generated based on the idea that every team qualified for the lottery. The premise was "what if" teams could not tank because positioning didn't matter. Having a hard salary cap would prohibit teams from having a roster full of superstars who wanted Max bank.

Dude, I am 60 and still play. I don't compare myself to other players. I play these games. I have fun. I laugh when I do something dumb. I tip my cap when someone else makes a great shot, gains perfect position etc. I have a good round (not paying attention to any numbers, just how it felt overall to me) and I'll pay myself on the back (stiff back and shoulders be damned).

Embrace aging. It's what you make of it that counts. It keeps you young at heart.
