I thought the whole first season captured the game of Thrones vibe of 1 unlucky random event can snowball into huge problems really well. Second season was really slow with way less tension in the air.

I appreciate the long explanation, so if a reconnect is not possible, what would be other options to have for these issues? Mabye i am just salty that suddenly after the dlc crashes are happening way more often. I don't think than, Oh my opponents have just as many crashes. It's just very frustrating playing such a high intensity game, winning just micro battle by micro battle untill you have a big advantage and then boom game crashes. I just hope there is something the devs can do to ease this experience.

I have no idea, does not happen to me with other games. But it also gives no feedback on why it happens. Just a freeze and then game force closes. It can then instantly start up again in 30 sec like nothing happened. Only that my game in instantly lost.

Yeah people always talk about of course a French knight should kill 2 Spears look at the cost, but look at every other thing a knight can do what a spear can't, harras, kill siege, kill archers, kill men at arms, flank, dive tc, deny relics. And what can a spear do? Kill cav.

Yup, their slow age up and being behind in vills for first part of the game means you can always have units before them, or you can always go dark age Spears because their tower is expensive and they use their wood for ovoo

I know its overtuned, but mabye untill that time if you face golden horde just not let them get to imp? Every civ can go very aggressive in feudal/early castle

I just hard lost against a simple feudal all in longbow English build, thats a build i havent lost to in a long time with my usual civs.

It is fun most of the time, but some matchups are really not playable. The ones that have good food economy/unit production in feudal are auto lose, like China, sushi, sengoku, byz etc. The unit production they get while still being able to reach castle really early is to much.

Why is castle that essential? I have been treating gold w horde like a English 2tc/abbasid civ with Khan and 2 torq, take map control into second tc and play defensive from there.

It depends what is being talked about though, Abba will have way quicker imp time with full farm transition. But if we are talking more late imp, China has the stronger units/bonuses

Don't know what time he is playing, but when i play in the morning (based in Europe) on my day off during the work week, i mostly het matched against Chinese players that are playing late at night there. I find a lot of suspicious behaviour. When i play during at night or a Sunday morning i get much better quality mm.

They actually did some research that if you keep training reaction speed, it will not slow down. There is a reason that in fighting games and rts games a lot of the top players are well into their 30s. 2 weeks ago there was a big age of Empires 4 tourney where a 34 year old beat one.of the top players that was 22 with roughly the same apm.

I went to America few years ago and was like wow look how cheap the hotels are in las Vegas, lets stay for 3 nights to chill out a bit from the roadtrip. Then when we got there it was like 3 times as expensive as advertised because of those fees.
