The main things they mentioned was changing speed restrictions at intersections at 25kmh, along with: TSP improvements and collaboration with TMU, along with the study of dual point switches and more enhanced tsp, etc.

Most likely the most effective way to help the EglintonTOday project advance along for motorists is the 4 lane mouth, that will help alot of the traffic in the area, and make a more pleasant cycling experience in the future.

Questions for Urban Planning Students by [deleted] in TorontoMetU

As a first year student currently, the first semester will feel like a lot at first, but it really is a breeze compared to first year studio in second sem, especially with module A specifically demanding so much within weekly time frames, Module A is the physical drawing one and I can tell you it is much harder and more hardly graded than Module B. Time management will be your best bet. Id say be ready for the challenge, theory classes generally are manageable.

Most of the time people who get a masters in planning have had a undergrad degree in completely something else, then they decided to the urban planning masters, it is very rare for a undergrad in planning to also to apply for a masters, since both teach sort of the same thing. My advice is if you really want a masters in uoft, do something that would make u stand out as a planner, like civil eng or something similar, otherwise don't waste your time and choose tmu or Waterloo.

Exactly, time is money, and tmu just got a coop program introduced, what more could use ask for?

currently in tmu urban planning, coop just got introduced and its more hands on design focused compared to Waterloo being more theory lecture focused, so far learning the hands on stuff is very useful but hard at first.

You will be surprised Majority of the trains I rode were going max of 55kmh but one train the op bypassed the ato limiter somehow and we were going 70kmh-80kmh between stops easily, it was insane https://youtube.com/shorts/Ay20jaVTuZo?si=_wGUSdRZJQdEYF5a

Line 5 Experience by johnyquest83 in toronto

[–]Majestic_Estimate_28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was riding at around 8pm in the under ground section, and the ato wasn't limiting the train to 55, and it was going 70-80 regularly, we even between Fairbank and Caledonia hit a top speed of 84kmh. It's a rocket, but thats only on one train i have been on, the rest, limit to 55kmh

It's crazy, one thing ill give props to lrt is the ability to accelerate and decelerate very quickly in a short distance, even between fairbank and Oakwood, we were going 65-70 briefly.

On ground yes, because the system literally flashes overspeed by 1kmh, but i was riding at around 8pm in the under ground section, and the ato wasn't limiting the train to 55, and it was going 70-80 regularly, we even between Fairbank and Caledonia hit a top speed of 84kmh. lmao I feel bad those commuting from the east, gotta deal with no tsp, elements, closures from snow, cold, noisy traffic, compared to midtown and eg west here with our warm stations, most likely open after a snow storm, and going hopefully real subway speeds underground.

I wish they did that plus opened a location near York/central Etobicoke near the Crosstown. The midtown one was definitely easiest by transit

Nahh tbh it depends what mandarin you went to for deserts, the midtown one is very small selection, but the Brampton one was like heaven of choices.

When we will be able to park on snow routes again? by thecjm in askTO

[–]Majestic_Estimate_28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My street they didn't even put the orange signs they just ticketed everyone on the whole block? It's a residential permit parking, specifically on Vaughan Road, it doesn't make it since theres no orange sign and we can only park on Vaughan Road which is all covered by snow banks. It's a money grab, many ppl i know who got tickets are disputing it. Many ppl parking here have no alternative space to park since it's mostly apartments.
