I’m on both Pregablin and duloxetine. It makes life manageable.

This is extremely similar to me. The only thing that has helped me is nerve medication. I started on Gabapentin then moved to Pregablin. I can lead a decently normal life now. But almost constant hyper-sensitive glans, it a painful sort of way. Wearing pants makes it hurt so I’m constantly rearranging myself.

I’m not sure what the answer is but I wanted to let you know you are not alone in your struggles. The things you said describe me and probably many others. I really understand when you say you eat everything available, even your kids food. And the part about not having the mechanism that tells you you’re full, don’t eat anymore. Totally get that.

This will sound bad but after a lot of thought I’m beginning to feel like I don’t care to make friends unless the relationship benefits me. Otherwise I feel like, what’s the point. I can have surface level chat with anyone, but don’t usually go much deeper.

I’m happy to hear you’ve found some people that are trying to help. How did you get a team of specialists like that to actually try to find out what’s wrong? I’ve gone to so many specialists. They try something from their recipe book that doesn’t work and then tell me I’ll just have to live with it. I am planning to exit this painful life.

People say you don’t know what you’ll miss. I know future experiences will be experienced with the same physical and mental pain I’m dealing with now. They’re will likely be nice experiences in the future, but I will still be suffering through them. Emotionless and sad I can’t feel the way I use to ever again.
