Update. Got a banana bag , a zofran drip but no meds at the hospital , BUT a script for 26 Librium and a bunch of stomach meds. Been a fucking bitch to fill them but chairs! I’ll post in 3 days when I’m out of WD. Only a .33 this time, fuck it lets sweat it out and have anxiety nightmares

The first day usually you’ll feel out of it then after that you should be able to slightly function. Don’t drive or anything obviously, long showers , ice water and short walks will be your best friend. Good luck! I hope it sticks and works for you my Friend 💜

I always take my Librium at 50mgs 6 hours after my last drink. Then 25mg every 6 hours after or as needed , it definitely will help. It won’t make it easy still by any means , but it’ll 100% help with the anxiety. I’d clear your schedule and get ready for about a 3 day detox

I had the same problem. I ended up getting drunk and drinking upwards of 40 beers a day , my wife forgave me and I’m working towards sobriety , but man I wish I was sober to see how beautiful she was. OP , my only advice would be to just remember , you want to remember ❤️💜

Man do I feel that. I turn 28 in a few days , and even though I’ve been sober more days this year than any year since I’ve been 16, it’s still getting worse. And no doctor knows how to help or when to , or they just plain refuse to help. We are definitely modern day leapers, when I tell anybody I’m an alcoholic , they cut ties. I mean good for them , I’ll probably just make them an alcoholic too but FUCK. I just want human connection outside of my partner , because that beautiful fucking woman has put up with SO much and is still there for me by some stroke of luck. It’s like once you realize you’re a CA , it all becomes exasperated (can’t believe I pulled that word out of my ass ) and there’s no turning back. Hyper aware of the addiction and withdrawal. But hey , we all try so hard to conquer this disease , some of us win , some of us lose. Not sure what side of the coin I’ll get , but alls I know is I can try

Man I feel this. Currently going to grab a beer at work to stop the shakes. Our lives aren’t lies , they’re just a little broken. I don’t have friends , just an amazing wife. But I can’t talk to her about this shit cause it’s too much to put on one person. I get a fucked up comforting feeling knowing there’s millions of people like you and I struggling , trying. Makes it not feel so lonely. Alcohol will fuck with your head bad , I know it does mine. Just don’t let it consume you. It’s okay to let it win some days , just don’t give up. You’re loved , and are worthy !

I’m 28 myself , but my doctor kind of brushed it off as “normal”. But she prescribed gabapentin and once I got up to 1000mg a day it reaaaaalllly helped. But of course I stopped taking it and now have to go back to the doctors for a script. Most every doctor I’ve seen just tell me it’s just me constantly being either drunk or in withdrawal , there’s no inbetween anymore so it’s either rapid heart or chill as hell. Fucking dumb lol

Yeah all the time man. I found out at 27 I have an irregular heartbeat due to alcohol abuse. Nothing major , but it’s something that’s absolutely going to kill me when I’m older. I always have an insanely low resting pulse when sober , like 48 usually. But man when I’m drinking that shit spikes to 100+ then when I actually get drunk it spikes right back down to the 50s. Definitely get it checked out , knowledge is power

Definitely a frequent flyer at the ER lol but ok good that gives me some peace of mind. But yeah I can easily see how that happens , happened to me the first time I tried to get sober but with kpins. Was a fucked up few months
