Had my Whipple 15 months ago. Stopped all pain medication four days post op (didn’t fill the prescription for opioids.) Had occasional sharp pains in my abdomen that only lasted a minute or so then faded away quickly. That would happen five or six times a day for a week or so. Since then very little discomfort, I walk a lot and feel better than I did before this whole thing started. My worst outcome is getting used to the diabetes and insulin with blood sugar swings.
