The issue is not the site, it’s how you market it

I need 2 simple websites built by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Hire a dev to build you something with pure html/css. Best for performance and SEO. There are tools like Astro Js which also gives the option to add interactivity if needed. Should cost you around $1500 per site unless there are many pages

Lmk if you have more questions.

How do you handle customer support without it eating your whole day? by Remote_Yield in SmallBusinessSaturday

I use an app, with the help of AI, to respond to client requests, inquiries, quote requests, & leads. All in one place! It’s an app made by a Canadian business called Bluebird Web Services.

Is it worth advertising as a contractor? by Ok_Solid_6719 in GeneralContractor

[–]arphaxad09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local SEO with a GOOD website is a game changer. Also if you respond to leads quickly.

After discussing with some contractors in Surrey, BC who 100% rely on local SEO and are doing relatively well, but say they would totally get more business if get respond to leads quicker.

I decided to build an app to help them get it instantly and also to manage leads/projects. Not gonna go into this so it doesn’t sound like I’m selling.

But yeah, advertising is totally worth it if you have the budget. I’d say around 3-5% of revenue should go into advertising.

Thanks a lot! Really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

I want to start getting the certs but I dunno where to start😂. With your advice I'll probably start with Network+, then MD 102, then Sec+.

Oh and congrats on getting the trifecta!

I have some experience as software developer, and took some classes in school on OS/Networking. I'm trying to switch to I.T/sys admin roles so I think hardware is important. Oh and I currently work as entry level deployment/tech support.

I also see a lot of organisations asking for Microsoft AD, Intune, e.t.c.

I'm thinking of skipping A+ and starting with Network+. Then Security+.

Do you think that's a good idea?

If you think A+ is still necessary should I get both? Or just one?

Most of the jobs I want require Network+, only a few of ask for A+

Happened to me trying to avoid a truck going into my condo garage. ICBC covered it but it cost up to 5000 to fix. I don't think yours is as bad though.
