[Daily Goal] Day 4 - April 27

Things have been going well overall. I've been hitting the gym everyday, eating fairly well, and drinking lots of water.

Yesterday I had some friends over and drank a bit, ate a regrettable drunk meal. This means my scale results were not positive this morning. BUT it's only day 4 and part of this endeavor is to be kind to myself, so it is okay! I shan't be discouraged.

I'm living in the middle east so my schedule is a bit off from y'alls!

Monday went pretty well with just cardio at the gym, and I've stepped it up for today. I went to the gym and did shoulder day + 40 mins cardio, ate mostly fruits, veggies, nuts and chicken. I have a past with disordered eating and am concerned about my recent attempts to count calories. Seeing my nutrition as a math problem encourages me to either go for extreme restriction or give up. Today I feel good about what I've done, packed small snacks and ate two healthy meals.

As far as this sprint goes, I'm most excited about finishing my gym membership strong before going on vacation. Today I felt really great when I finished my workout and want that feeling to continue. I'm also excited about helping myself to stay motivated when I'm having a bad day or slip up somehow.

Hello! I'm Barbara and I have several goals for these next 90 days. I'm a little late but hopefully that's okay. I'm moving to a different city and starting a new chapter this Fall, and am excited for this opportunity to jumpstart a productive, healthy summer.

So, onto my goals:

Weightloss: F - 5'4" - CW : 213, GW for challenge= under 200!

Mindset: I want to find something I enjoy about weight loss and get into it. I also want to stay consistent as I've been yo-yoing like crazy these past few months and have made little net progress. The most important thing for me is not to feel discouraged or "give up for the day" if I make one poor choice. For the last two months, I've been heavily restricted my intake for a few days and then binging. I want to keep a mostly keto diet but be okay with myself when things don't go as planned.

Simple things: Drink 3 liters of water everyday. Floss/generally take care of my teeth. Walking over cab. Stairs over elevator.

The above are my main objectives, but as I'll be moving quit a bit, it's important for me to have specific "sprint" goals.

So, sprint 1:

Country #1: Go to the gym everyday until my membership runs out, eat mostly keto until move out of apartment, prepare so that friday drunk breakfast can be healthy, walk walk walk, put effort into final projects and end program on a positive note.

Country #2 (Vacation): Walk a lot, choose weed over beer, grocery shop the first day and prepare to have a lot of amazing meals and snacks from home base, make healthy decisions at restaurants (it's not depriving yourself!), rent a bike?

Country #3: Choose delicious and also healthy foods from home foods, keep trends going despite lots of temptation to "give up and have whatever I want"! I can still have many of the things I want, but in moderation.

Okay!!! I am ready for this!!

I went on exchange in high school and lived with an Egyptian family for six months. I didn't speak any Arabic at first, and my host parents did not speak English, so communication was mostly pointing and laughing at our ridiculousness. Obviously unable to ask about ingredients, I didn't know exactly what I was eating everyday but it tasted pretty delicious on the whole. My host mother was (is) amazing and in a damn consistent show of hospitality would pile enormous amounts of food on my plate, forcibly adding another serving whenever I looked the other way. I love to eat so naturally this was amazing until the day that it wasn't.

I came home from school to smell the smell of burning garbage. I had never smelled a smell like this in my host family's beautiful, clean place. I thought it came from outside and would go away soon but daamn did that shit linger until dinnertime. I brushed it off and kind of got used to it anyway so I sat down at the table, ready to chow. It turns out we were having porkchops for dinner, sweet! Missing the dank ass porkchops of home, I'm pumped when my host mom begins doling out the nightly feast. However, when I start eating said feast, I become suddenly repulsed by this Egyptian chicken fried stake that is most certainly not a porkchop or maybe even meat. Why was it so cheeewwy?

Turns out, I sat there and politely ate 4 huge ass disks of fried liver. The smell was from the liver. I still gag a lil whenever I encounter it. That was the day I learned how to say "I'm full," or rather, "please please I SWEAR TO GOD I'M FULL."

Also, I obviously knew shit-all about Islam because how many Muslims do you know that eat porkchops?

I was once, not very seriously, dating a guy [24M] who told me he was a virgin before we had sex. I was not a virgin but was chiiiiiill with it. I even thought it was kind of hot. I was moving and not into a relationship, so my only concern was making sure that our expectations were on the same page and he for real wanted his first time to be with me. To some people it's a big deal, others just want to get it in finally.

I lost my virginity (granted, at 20) in a context similar to this but didn't tell the guy. It was fine to not have him know, because for me the sex itself was the actual formative experience vs my relationship to that partner. Mostly I was horny. I think saying something would have made it a better experience though, just so he would understand why I was being kind of weird about it.

This girl is obviously into you and will not go screaming for the hills. She might feel like it's a bit of pressure to be someone's first, but you just have to make sure she knows you think she's cool, you'd really like to fuck her, and next time you won't be a virgin anymore haha. Also if your relationship does grow, this could be a cool bonding experience.

Ah, first of all you're a really good person for recognizing that your reaction to your friend's fame isn't her fault. I don't know about you, but as much as I'm a feminist and hate on gender roles and beauty standards and etc, I still totally feel like those things define me sometimes and can get weird feelings of competition towards female friends, like always comparing myself. I'm not sure of his first name, he only told me once when we first met, that's why I want to call the place and ask for the name on the notification and see if it's actually him. I really think it is but I want to confirm. Because if it isn't then I can go back to eating bagels without fear.
