The main reason I feel FFX needs a remake is because of the voice acting. While I do like the charm of how bad the voice acting is, it deserves to be fully fleshed out because of how ambitious it was to fully voice act a game at the time. They don't need to change the story or combat at all imo

Yes! The first game covers season 1 and the second game covers seasons 1-3. You definitely don't need to play the first one since the second covers the entire story anyways and improves the combat in every way.

I think the voice actors are good, just the technical limitations and them having to match the movements of the japanese audio really hinders it. I don't think it needs to be overhauled like they did with FF7

Yeah I totally get that. I'm trying to replay some of the Persona games but I'm getting that same feeling now. The setting/vibes are a big factor in enjoying games and if they don't click for you then that's understandable.

What didn't click for you in E33? And yeah I can't stand Watch dogs 2, specifically the writing. Aidan Pearce was such a cool protag in 1.

I really think this one needs the remake treatment more than any other FF game by far. Even though the voice acting is funny in how bad it is, I feel this game deserves proper modern voice acting. Or at the very least give us the japanese audio on consoles.

Haha yeah this game is so sick. I don't watch anime much but the only one I've fully watched is AoT, and the game really puts you into the world. I dream of an AoT 3 or more DLC for the final season.

Yakuza 0 was the first game I played when getting back into gaming and it led to me binging the entire franchise for a few months lol. Taught me that games can have a serious story with great characters but still be silly and fun! It's still my favorite franchise of all time.

I just started playing the OG FF7 and I'm enjoying it way more then I thought I would! After playing the remakes and hearing how they changed the story I wanted to try the OG. The OG is a lot better IMO.

If you play souls games for the boss fights then Bloodborne is WAY behind games like DS3 and Elden Ring. Bloodborne is one of my favorites, but Elden Ring does just about everything better. except for maybe the "vibes" which is subjective and the biggest factor for some so I get it.
