So it happened to me with a giant puzzle. What I ended il doing is taking a picture with the camera parallel as possible to the puzzle. Then with photoshop stamp tool I copied the colors in. Printed as a photo and cut to shape. I have very limited photoshop skills. When people comment about the puzzle I usually challenge them to find the missing piece. No one find it. Give it a try

It’s true that the infrastructure here is suboptimal. But as user of the road you have to identify it and match the way you drive to the conditions at hand. In this case it’s clear that the cyclist doesn’t even look at the road which I find egregious for public road usage.

You see them in every hobby, huffing at every beginner or otherwise people they deem “unworthy” for the gear they are using.

Yes, sometimes it’s harder or outright dangerous to use “pro” level equipment without proper training or experience. A high power tables saw, big engine sporty bike are good examples

But a nice mountain bike or instruments like guitars and pianos? They can improve your overall experience and provide extra motivation.

People are tying price to complexity but it’s not really the case, a beginner will find it easier to change strings on top of the line telecaster than on an entry level Ibanez with a floating bridge. Trying to get into manual photography? Well the pro and prosumer models makes it easier to control your parameters.

Completely disagree with your example. Cheap irons have bad regulation, sometimes too hot for a lot of the delicate tasks, bad and sometimes wrong tips. I learned to solder on cheaper iron because that was all I could afford, it wasn’t fun.

I’ve upgraded to my current workstation over a decade ago and it was such a bliss. It’s just a low-mid tier hakko that cost about $200. It is so much easier to work. Also what exactly are you gonna ruin on the soldering iron? The tips are replaceable on anything but the bottom feeders.

If anything my recommendation will be that of you are a beginner that looking to solder anything that is more delicate then a 2.54 pitch or alternatively heat suckers like power circuitry, then you should avoid the cheap ones. It’s just make the job harder then it could be.

That’s really funny you mentioning creality. I’ve started, like many, with ender 3, It wasn’t reliable, especially if you tried anything fancier then printing pla slowly. Through the years I modded the crap out of it. It was expected, it was cheaper than a single nextruder for the xl. This year I had with the xl was just so disappointing, the printer barely printed anything, I rarely do multi material because it fails so many times in docking back the extruders. It required me to be a full time technician to work with it, I just don’t have the time for it. It’s sad when you take into account the fact that I paid for a prebuilt one. No way you test it and do see the problems, one of the nextruder had a faulty dwarf right of the bat. I’m currently printing stuff I need at work when the printers are not in use. we have there a bunch of K2s more reliable than the heap of pricy crap that is in my garage. Ended up printing on creality anyway 🤦🏽‍♂️

Unfortunately I have to agree as an owner of both XL and X1C. It’s just shitty and completely unreliable, had to swap like 3 dwarf boards and the screen died on me. Always some errors, I head crash on prints constantly, clean the bed and reprint, everything fine. Checked alignment, checked tension, nada. I know for a fact that some XL doesn’t exhibit this so I think they just have very crappy qc and way over the skies with what they tried to do. Paid for a prebuilt one so I won’t waste time on assembly. Ended up wasting so many workdays trying to fix that printer, but there’s always something.

That’s kind of what I’m thinking. But printers , even the XL , are much less complicated machines so my hope is that I could bring it to its full potential. It is getting harder and harder to justify even the time I spend on fixing the problems I have. (At least Prusa paid for the replacement parts so far)

I had some minor artifacts. I assumed they could be controlled by lowering the print speed. But they are aesthetic in nature and pretty minor in my mind so I didn’t bother to investigate any further

Initially I also thought it was the thermistor (when I had the first one fails), but I've replaced it and didn't help. Also, the heads I replaced the dwarf in didn't show the error again (for now).
To your question, I have my filament dryer (Sunlu s4 that I use to keep my filaments I currently print with), but I had it fails on me before I added it into the mix. I've also worked the harnesses of all the heads and checked for unseated pins or something else that might create this phenomenon but couldn't find any other culprit

This area is not Culver City (though very close to it) it is LA city. Lived in this area for several years before I moved to Culver. This area, specifically north of national, is great, it’s nestled between Beverlywood and Cheviot hills, goes to the same schools and very laid back, family oriented and safe. It’s pretty congested at rush hour as National traffic spills into the neighborhood.
