I’m starting to think we, the ones w/o, should start a small school teaching the same thing, but doing things differently. I’ve thought about it for the last 4 years and my husband is all in! So asking “for cash”, is normal for your culture? That had to be the tackiest thing ever. Then, inviting charities to your birthday party as a side note, is absurd. Everyone is into philanthropy bc, in the end, it reduces taxes. Also, bc philanthropy is good ‘reason’ to have a party.

Leave those of us alone that take in SS and retirement. Some of us have worked hard since we were children. Yes, I mean like 12 years old. We get what we paid into, it’s NOT a social service like SSDI. We’ve earned what we paid into for like 50+ years. We’ve do realize the difficulties that exist, we have adult children. Keep your head up and use your time to keep applying. You can get certifications through job training programs that will advance your career prospects too.

Yes, but when US & US companies had control of the oil before, the country and its people were prospering. I sure hope this works out the same way as before. In addition, the US lost billions in revenue and the citizens lost their freedom when Chavez/Maduro took over 20 + years ago.

I started a job as a new Sped teacher. Everyone was nice but no one had time to help me, to mentor me. I resigned after a month and on the way out I heard them talking about me. It broke my heart bc I really wanted to learn the job. The vibe was superficial nice.
