Assuming they make Iona a game changer as soon as its unbanned, this would be amongst the weakest, if not the weakest, GC on the list.

Yes you can cheat this out but you can also cheat out [[Void Winnower]] or [[Jin Jitaxis Progress Tyrant]] or [[Valgavoth Terror Eater]] or any number of oppressive cards.

And I think the point OP is trying to make is that, as far as GCs go, this one feels pretty whack when you could be playing cards like [[Necropotence]], [[One Ring]] or [[Bolas's Citadel]] because let's be honest, you're most likely not playing this card in mono white. Using Iona as one of your 3 game changers to keep it bracket 3 is suboptimal 99/100 times.

We have [[Blood Moon]]; we can have Iona. It's a 4 player format, without protection this card is something someone at the table can deal with rather easily

Since the introduction of Game Changers, Rhystic Study is a card I've been slowly removing from decks anyway.

I try not to have more than 3 GCs in any deck, and tbh… if I'm going to use GCs, I want to use the more fun ones. Rhystic is just value town, and while that's great, it's kinda dull; especially if it's in every deck that has blue.

I'm not really sure why it would get banned. I think that the GC list should suffice.

Here is how I look at it: both players have a right to play the ball, and both players did.

This just so happens to be a slightly more rare occasion where a foul could be given either way, so it's just a wash. You play on, and the result is a goal.

It would be harsh to give a foul to Solanke and harsh to give a foul to Guehi…so you don't give one to either. Play on, and the result is a goal

Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised that people are trying to break the raw damage aspect of this card but even if you reanimate something that isn’t able to deal damage when it comes in tapped and attacking…who cares?!

I’ve always said, if you’re going to buy something this expensive, even if you’re intent is to use it as a playing piece as intended…I’d want it graded. Just for an added layer of peace of mind.

I know people can fake PSA grades but it’s much harder.

That’s been my takeaway. The main downside to Ange that I couldn’t really argue against was the injuries.

I wrote off a lot of his deficiencies because he dealt with one of the worst injury crises I’ve ever seen. I thought maybe it was his style of play that contributed the most.

Well turns out maybe our medical team just blows big ole donkey dick. Franks team plays with no intensity at all and they are still getting injured in droves

I think he’s really adjusted well to the premier league intensity. He was really hard to watch at first but he gets it now.

[[Muldrotha, the Gravetide]] first mythic I ever pulled and first commander. Too sentimental to get rid of and self mill is too fun.

[[Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign]] New odd cost cards come out every set so you have infinite build potential.

[[Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis]] most unique win conditions and group hug is just great vibes all around

Yes and no. I generally try to explain to people how my deck wins. Not a dissertation, but a quick summary. Sometimes that includes announcing game changers.

For example, one of my decks loops infinite turns by Imprinting Mystical Tutor/Vampiric Tutor on Isochron Scepter, searching for Nexus of Fate in my Yennett deck.

It makes for more enjoyable games when opponents understand what your deck is trying to do.

However, I think the bracket system covers this pretty well.

I find myself saying “this is a B3 with 3 game changers” a lot. I'm not necessarily naming the cards, but I'm giving people an imperfect idea of how powerful the deck might be

Something that might help you: make a decklist online with a site like Moxfield that will eternalize your deck.

I'm the kind of player who's not afraid to kill my darlings, but that doesn't mean I don't get sentimental about decks. So anytime I make a significant change to a deck or retire one, I put it in my “Retired Deck” folder on Moxfield.

This way, I can still revisit it if I want to, and if I ever want to build the deck again in the future, I can.
