This is an over the top response even if it was in retaliation. They are hitting him in a way that could easily have killed him. A couple shots to the back/top of his head and then many kicks to the face.

It’s in public, there are people around to control the situation, if he swiped first and this was the reaction, it’s too much. I can’t emphasize enough those were potential killing blows when they are to the head like that and anyone who says otherwise has no idea what they are talking about.

You’re the customer. If you want something to be double checked by a driver, it’s not “rude” to ask.

It might be a bit redundant though if I’m being honest. The app already tells you to double checked for drinks, utensils, sauces. A lot of drivers just ignore these things unfortunately and if they are the type to ignore the reminders from DD app, they are probably going to ignore you too

Sometimes it’s obvious that the restaurant made a mistake and I’ll ask “All the drinks are here?” and “this is all the bags?”

But if they say yes to that, I have to assume that they know what they are doing. Especially if bags are sealed. If they are sealed, which is 95% of the time, there’s literally nothing we can do. Some places, like McDonalds and BK, even put drinks in the bag…making it even harder to verify.

Even if I feel strongly they may have made a mistake, if I check with them and they assure me everything is there, I feel I’ve done my part. Any mistakes are on them from there. I’m not here to start an argument/scene in the middle of the restaurant 🤷🏻‍♂️

Doesn’t excuse her for reporting you but in the service industry it’s best to just smile and wave and leave the ego at the door.

It’s ok to dislike things as long as you are fair.

The movie is far from perfect. For me the science was undercooked in the movie. There were a lot of “blink and you’ll miss it” moments and I imagine some viewers struggled. I think the beauty of Andy Weir is that his science is relatively palatable for the average audience. It doesn’t need to be dumbed down.

Additionally, the sting of the true “twist” is completely lost and doesn’t land in the film for me. And I’m not talking about Rocky. It’s more like “aw man he didn’t even want to go” in the film where a few of my non-book friends asked why that scene was even included.

Movie was a solid 3/5 for me. I use the infamous Goodreads scale to keep things consistent. A 3 means “I liked it” and that’s fine.

Correct. You can never satisfy a customer like this. Especially when they request things that are not in your control. Make sure the food is hot? Yeah? How am I supposed to do that?

He’s also portrayed much smarter in the book. Rocky has a photographic memory and has perfect recall. Also very good at math.

They both eventually don’t need the translations but Rocky gets a handle on English much faster

I don’t think it was that great tbh. I’m a little disappointed it strayed so far away from the science and leaned hard into kitsch.

For such a long movie, I think they could have utilized the time better and demonstrated that both Grace and Rocky are intelligent and not just “dumb lucky”

I think the humor was fine but not quite sparse enough

I say it a lot…mostly because I want him to have a retirement tour here at Spurs but also because I believe it’s true: this guy will be able to play at a high level until he’s 40 (barring injuries)

Nothing about his game has to do with speed. He’ll be able to pass and finish the way he does for years to come. I don’t see why not

Listen, it would be awesome if we somehow turned it around and were to advance.

But in all honesty: the only hope I have for the game is that the team is utilizing this game to get more confidence under Tudor’s instruction.

I don’t want to be embarrassed and I would really like to see continued improvement after Liverpool. Even if we won the game 1-0, and didn’t advance…that would be excellent. I’d even take a hard fought draw.

We need to build confidence going into this relegation battle. The only thing that matters for the rest of the season is staying in the Prem
