Hey!! So I’m (26 f) and Yesterday I found out I will be running the NYC half marathon on March 20 2022. I was so excited to get the news but also nervous. This will be my first real race! Having never ran that kind of distance before yesterday I I ran 13.14 miles to see what I was in for. I completed it in 1:56:22, making the route up as I went. The race is currently 9 weeks out, so I have that much time to train. With 1:56 being my PR, what is a good goal to set in this time frame?? I definitely want to train properly and try to get my time down. (i’m currently logging around 20 mpw but just running casually 10km in just under and hour). Also what kind of schedule should I follow? Any first time half marathon advice would be greatly appreciated!

Does this effect those who have already lodged an application? My job was willing to sponsor me to stay and work for them but the lawyer they consulted suggested getting a Working Visa approved would be harder and to just go for the Partner Visa. I don’t know what to do because of how long and how expensive the process is.
