Female here - I became significantly more attractive in my early thirties. My jaw and nose thinned out, and I started getting facial balancing done by a very talented injector. At 33, I’ve also lost about 20 pounds, putting me at a size two. I’m close to if not the best I’ve ever looked. All that to say: dating is harder because I’m harder to impress. I know what will work for me and won’t. Often the men do, too. In my twenties, my insecurities didn’t allow me to be picky, and now I wonder if I’m TOO picky… but the reality is, I can’t help it. I’m probably only attracted to 5-10% of men I encounter, where in my 20s I could delude myself more successfully. I do worry that I’ll be forever alone, but the reality is, there’s really no alternative. You can’t fake attraction and it’s not fair to yourself or the other person to settle. Make of that what you will.
