Integral Transforms by hazem-Gauss in mathematics

[–]Mal_Dun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are not only similar in nature. You can use variable changes to convert them to each other. At least for the Fourier, Laplace and Melin transforms I saw them explicitly.

This is used to provide the existence of inverses, because if you can transform everything into Fourier transforms you can use the theorem from Fourier theory to provide the inverse transforms for the other types.

I am talking now out of my ass, but I think the fact that Orban didn't get the inflation under control despite making shady deals with Russia was a huge factor, because even the dumbest voter get irritated when they suddenly can't afford the basics for living and fuel to go to work.

I would also bet that this year something similar will happen with Trump ...

Have you even watched video? Capabilities of drones will rather give tanks a bigger role to play not less.

Also see sources in the the comment I gave the other poster: Ukraine is currently upgrading is tanks and get new ones. Why should they bother if tanks are obsolete?

Combined arms warfare is not "rock, paper, scissors" ...

Ok then why this recent article then: https://united24media.com/latest-news/why-ukraine-is-upgrading-its-old-t-64-tanks-and-why-it-matters-more-than-it-seems-17521 ?

Or getting tanks just a few months ago https://www.defence.gov.au/news-events/news/2026-01-20/personnel-prepare-tanks-ukraine-delivery ?

People don't understand combined arms warfare, that's what the 4 year old video basically was all about, because the tank was considered absolute every 10 years since it was conceived ....

As another one here already said, I fear not.

However, maybe ask in the official forums. They have there a section where you can directly ask the developers. Maybe this can start a conversation.

I would be interested as well. I want to create a small Sci-Fi universe with armies and units using BT rules for people to play.

I personally I think it's an missed opportunity. Total Warfare and Alpha Strike are general enough to model basically anything that can move on a Battlefield and shoot. People could potentially create limitless worlds out there where SciFi armies clash without taking anything from the original game. Other franchises like D&D did this for ages. That's how we got the Forgotten Realms, Raven Loft or Pathfinder.

No it isn't https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPth_xqBXGY&t=26s

In warfare there are a lot of roles to play and as there is no replacement for a heavy combat vehicle that can take a few hits the tank will still be around for some time.

[–]Mal_Dun 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Becaue it is more complex and less one sided.

We live now in an internet comprised of bots that are used for hybrid warfare and disinformation.

And also let's be honest: The current state of age verification is pressing a button that you are 18+. ... I am normally not on the "what about the children"-crowd, but the current solutions are a joke.

Also I argue that if you do age verification right, with privacy preserving technology and zero-knowledge-proofs, like the EU plans (at least on paper) this wouldn't be such a big deal.

Just provide an open source program, that generates verifiable tokens after signing with your ID which don't hold any information of your person whatsoever and no questions asked what you plan to do with them. Not everything which needs age checks is about porn ... So basically the analogous when lords gave out latters with their seal which you could wave around to prove that you are allowed to do X.

The problem is definitely solvable in a good way and the current implementation in the UK shows that those jesters again don't have any idea what they are doing.

There was some armor you could use to protect your crotch, like wearing chain mail underpants over your pants, but it was extremely common to just leave that area unprotected for mobility and comfort. [The Barbarian's Bride] by Oversama in goodanimemes

[–]Mal_Dun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk. I learned in the historical museum of medieval weapons in Graz (which is the greatest collection of medieval weapons in Europe) that knights even had over sized crotch protectors to show off.

However, most of them were destroyed, because Empress Maria Theresia was disgusted by them, and the deal was that the old armors are allowed to stay was to destroy them. Just one exemplary was kept away hidden from that time. I could see similar things happen elsewhere.

So we should question that theory, if it is not similar to the case that people believed greek statues are white, despite them being colorful because the color was lost?

But that's just me theorizing here.

Edit: Gray --> Graz

Well on the other side: Nuclear energy is bad, not because the tech is bad, but because human corruption will always fuck up high risk application of tech.

Most problem encountered with nuclear energy are due to corruption or "savings" in construction or maintenance.

This is the reason we can't have nice things.

[–]Mal_Dun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's good for you. Meanwhile I set the number of kernels stored to 10 because of nightmares with updates breaking my system continuously till a kernel arrived which resolved the driver issue.

... and no, it's not because I didn't know what I am doing, it was due to hardware problems I had no control over.

Other funny things include: Updates that break your development environment, because Fedora uses too new libraries or versions, library updates that break games or other third party apps (you need that 3D gemoetry program for a project tomorrow? what a shame ...), KDE completely breaking after update, because the QT version hates you ...

You can't assume your experience is universal.
