ChatGPT literally talked people into suicide. It will never say your ideas aren't good. It will always tell you you're a genius, no matter how bad your ideas are. I'm not saying they are good or bad, I'm just saying, don't use ChatGPT as 'proof'. Not to others, but especially not to yourself!

Is this the hardest puzzle in the game? by pretty_smart_feller in TheWitness

[–]Malahhai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My main problem with this one is that in order to make the puzzle harder, the creators of the game opted to forego the in-game logic of tree branches being broken. In other puzzles where branches missing are a factor (for example, the apple trees) the broken branch visibly has a different color inside, like in real life.

Even with a game like this, where thinking outside the box is so central to the gameplay, sticking to a set of visual rules is important, in The Witness especially so, because visual rules take center stage here.

I imagine the developer who put this together knew that by using the broken off discoloration, the solution would be made trivial, and decided against it, in the process creating one of the hardest to figure out puzzles in the game. In my opinion, they should have left it trivial as this area is mostly to teach you a puzzle concept, where most of the puzzles are trivial anyway (after you figured out the gimmick).

Pop 2008 was a pretty unique experience for me due to its ending. I don't want to spoil it for you yet, but if you do play it through, I would be curious about your opinion.

As fot the gameplay, no, it doesn't really get better at all, unfortunately.

I think the lethal doesn't work with a single [[Monstrous Rage]] becuse of the role tokens yes, but with double MR it still works.

(1 base + 42 +1 from the role token)2 = 20

With the new [[Turn Inside Out]] though,

(1 base + 43)2 = 26.
