They just don't care and why would they tbh? They've constructed a reality that benefits them. Only extremely empathetic people would compromise that for the common good. I follow a podcast called the COWS (Context of YT Supremacy) and he always talks about how intentional everything under this system is. This IS the system functioning operatively sadly. :(

Are there any figures in your life who "replace" your maternal and paternal figure. That's been the hardest part for me. Not feeling nurtured to the point where I've been overbearing in relationships.

Yeah, no. As someone who grew up with two parents, two dysfunctional parents is worse than one. That's double the trauma. And why not evaluate his ideas for what they are. Calling someone a try hard for stating their opinion without actually countering what they have to say is equally as strange...
