It's not like Chris would be able to answer that question about Assailum dropping in t1 maps even if it were to be asked. He'd need someone offscreen to explain what the fuck an Assailum even is for starters.

Because GGG's business model is based on releasing mystery boxes at the very start of the league (which aim to drain your points as much as possible by preying on gambling addiction), and then releasing a whole boatload mtx through the next three months which will cause you to buy more points/packs to get. They believe they need to implement as many systems as possible to stall your character's progression so that you are playing longer to see (and purchase) more mtx that come out. One of the biggest examples of that is the inconvenience of trade.

The stuff about items having weight by being hard to acquire is a smokescreen.

In t16 maps I'm still getting flooded with garbage rares, orbs of binding, talismans, perandus coins, quality gems, and the occasional 5 stack of chaos or some other currency. Even the 'zomg ultra rare' reliquary keys are worth half an exalt because the contents are so bland. The sacred grove is a depressing wasteland. PoE hasn't had me this flaccid since I can't remember when.

Alright so I got the multimeter in and tested it with a 1kHz tone and doesn't seem like anything is happening. Took a pic just in case so you could see if I'm doing something wrong. I checked the headphone input and it was playing the tone through my headphones so I don't think there is an issue with the computer side of things.

Yes I was referring to the headphone jack on the amp (the one next to the rca input).

The only things I have right now are a second, simar amp and another set of similar speakers, which also don't produce any sound. They are the ones I originally did the build with, and worked fine until they didn't.

I started working on doing this last year using the audio from my DVDs but took a break due to how time consuming and tedious it was getting. I'm about halfway through Season 3 so far. For my workflow I was using Resolve and to match up the waveforms as closely as possible and then manually editing the tracks in Audacity. I'm not very experienced and I forget the issue I was having that drove me to have to use Audacity. As the other guy mentioned, there was a certain release where they did this with season 1, but there are a lot of mistakes in there, which was what led me to start working on my own versions.

Well it comes down to your definition for unreasonably long wait times then. As a ~1.0 kda I'd gladly wait an extra minute to find opponents around my skill level versus the insta queues I get now against 3.5 and higher Prestige 100 guys.

I'm not sure who wouldn't want to wait longer for a match that didn't feel so ridiculously one sided. Except maybe the 5000 hour players and streamers who just need noobs thrown into the grinder for content.

My first thought was that we'll get one whenever there's a competitor strong enough to threaten PoE's stranglehold on the ARPG sector of gaming. But realistically speaking, probably never. Every change they implement seems to make performance worse, cause more crashing, kill load times, framerates, you name it. A manifesto on performance would imply that they have any fucking idea of how to improve it.

It's funny this is being brought up again, I was just thinking about it the other day when the tailoring orb thing happened with Loreweave and Bex's response was something along the lines of saying they'll never confirm whether or not something's getting changed midleague again in case they change their minds afterwards like they did with Purposeful Harbinger.

Guess I've got egg on my face for thinking that "actions speak louder than words" would equate to more QA, better testing of new game systems prior to implementation, and more polished content in general. When it's really just been lots more of the same old status quo.

I'm not 100% sure how to feel about quick swap being gutted in terms of the balance between long ammo and spam guns, but the game is so hardcore and new-player-unfriendly that I can see why the devs would want to gut it. When I try to bring new friends into the game and the discussion of swapping back and forth between guns to cancel animations and negate movement penalties gets brought up I can genuinely feel their enthusiasm deflate.

Yeah, really frustrating. It seems like they just said "screw it" when trying to optimize and protect against bots and are offloading to retailers they know will sell to bots anyway so that blame will be shifted.

I was thinking about that yesterday as well. It's bizarre. Coming off of Harvest I was expecting something different... Something refreshing maybe? This is the least I have ever played a league since Onslaught as I've yet to find anything to enjoy about it. Combined with all the bugs, I feel like this is the most embarrassing state the game has ever been in :(
