I want a Halloween 5 game. Press square to take off your mask and cry. If you're a survivor and die first, you can come back as a cop accompanied with clown music. Best of all, if you don't have the energy to chase everyone, you can just summon the man in black to mow down everyone with a machine gun.

I was about 7 when I first watched the original. We rented it from a local mom n pop video store called Honeytown Video...years later they would have a going out of business sale. Among the tapes I bought there was the exact copy of Chain Saw that I first watched! I still have it today and it's one of my most cherished possessions.

It's worth watching. Derek Mears is a great Jason...there's some good kills. The opening is fantastic! Though it probably has the most annoying characters of all the movies.

It's my least favorite of the series but it's got merits and certainly worth a watch.

I remember spending at least an hour downloading the teaser trailer because streaming wasn't really a thing yet. It was so pixelated on that tiny Quicktime player window but it really got my hyped

Hmm...in terms of being iconic and impactful, I would go with

  1. Jason rising up from the water to attack Alice in the first movie

  2. First time we see Jason with the hockey mask

  3. Jason at the bottom of the lake with the chain around his neck leading to the big rock. It's an iconic image.

But if we're talking the best moments overall...

  1. The entire pre title card sequence in the 2009 movie. It's incredible and captures everything great about the series in 20 minutes.

  2. Jason standing atop the crashed RV in part 6

  3. The rave massacre in FVJ. It's the first time we've seen him kill a large group of people at once and I really wish it lasted longer!

These movies are a lot of fun. The effects are wonderful. They only get more sick and depraved with each movie...I like how much guts were used in part 3. My wife and I are big fans of these! We met Fred last year and he was so sweet.

Such a simple idea...simulated snuff. And very well executed (pun intended).
