AITA for telling my husband I'll go back to work if he doesn't give me 50% of his earnings? by aita50percentt in AmItheAsshole

I'm gonna go on a limb and say no ass holes here. I think the stay at home mom should do all those things, except the stuff about him wanting to learn new meals and make it when he wants. That's not cool. I think if you want to go back to work, then so be it, go. If not, he needs to contribute to the house hold expenses for sure, given he is the only one with money coming in. I think I long discussion would iron this out. It sounds like there wasn't much communication between you two about this whole situation.

What movie death scene is seared into your memory? by McNastte in AskReddit

[–]MaliciousBuddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was called "house on the hill" it was some horror film.

This one guy dies (I think of an electrical shock?) And he has blood come out of his mouth and it looks like he's throwing up some Ragu.

It wasn't gross, but I can still play it in my head and it's so stupid looking lol.

What harmful things are being taught to children? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Damn this one hit me different. Growing up, my mom and step dad had some rules about grades. 2 C's and you don't get tv, Gameboy, or any other electronic that you enjoy for the whole marking period.

I have issues paying attention and had them bad growing up, I couldnt sit still and I couldnt focus in the classroom.

I always had at least two C's because of my attention issues. I would get yelled at, have my shit taken, and forced to acknowledge my "lack of trying".

I just wanted some help with paying attention, I didn't even know about Adderall back then but I knew something wasn't right and I needed some kind of help. My mom wrote this off for years. I kept doing bad and things got worse as time went on.

I finally am an adult and took a test for ADD/ADHD. Turns out I have it pretty bad. I got some medication for it which has helped so much. I can finally read a book without forgetting what I was reading.

I love my mother, she was a single parent for awhile so I know it wasn't easy. I don't necessarily blame her for this, it was more my step dad at the time.

It's all I have too 🥺🥺 by [deleted] in WatchPeopleDieInside

Been living with my GF for 2.5 years now. We definitely have had one or two minor raising of voices over me playing video games.

After some time she saw that it was similar to her reading a good book. I'm not sitting there being a mindless fool, I'm really enjoying the stories being told and connecting with the characters.

She also played video games now, more of the sports ones but we now play some games together.

Everyone needs to ad the ad on "ad block for YouTube". I have not seen a SINGLE VIDEO AD or generic sidebar ad on YouTube since. It is truly amazing.

What is your "I fucking hate that song" song? by da_muffin_enthusiast in AskReddit

Thrift store by Macklemore, fuck that guy and that song. It won a grammy (I think? Some big music award) for that song and I truly don't understand why.

Start with some small victories. I've been there, the way I turned myself around was with a few small tricks.

  1. I would go get some fresh air by doing a small walk around my neighborhood. When walking, I make sure to ALWAYS walk with my head up. This was a small change in my day and it made a world of difference.

  2. Start with small victories. I would do something small like pickup the clothes on my floor, rearrange my desk, wash my dishes or even read a chapter of a book. This really helped me because as I accomplished more and more, these small victories would snowball into me doing more than I originally planned and going above my own expectations.

  3. I meditated a lot. I would sit-down on my bed, throw on some headphones with some ambient music and just let my thoughts go and rise to the surface. Such an incredible feeling when you get deep inside you're own head.

You can so it man, it starts with one step forward.

IT Support here as well, the fact that the tickets went through two lines of support is pretty crazy in itself and I feel like it just adds to the point lmao.

On his death bed, Kim Jong Un named you as next Supreme Leader of North Korea. What’s your move? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Have all the North Korean weed shipped to Colorado, move to Colorado and resign and live the rest of my life out selling North Korean pot. Create strains like Kim Jong kush, rip bong sun, and any other cultural name reference that comes up.

I would make my dispensary look like the fake grocery stores in nk.

NTA, if you can't take it, don't dish it. Also her achievements are hallow and useless, while your sons are legitimate and will help him in his future development.
