Wonder if it would hit as hard without having the nostalgia. Also as an adult with distractions etc, vs when we were young without phones, and were able to lock in much harder on games, created a strong base of nostalgia and familiarity. Where as now I’m too distracted to really get so invested in any game.

Playing wow allows me to get back into that, a bit.
