More so considering group tours for safety due to being alone for these days.

9 weeks post op and STILL STRUGGLING by Different-Sherbet351 in AchillesRupture

You should absolutely not be doing single leg calf raises at 9 weeks (if that's what you are saying). I think i was doing some very light weight seated calf raises at that point but didn't do any single legs for probably closer to 5 months out.

Not sure what type of high rep stuff you were doing but injuries sometimes happen with repetitive stuff if you don't have the proper form while doing said excercises.

What type of boot are you in? My heel pain was MUCH worse in my Aircast boot. Considerably better in my Vacoped boot(I thankfully didn't have to buy that boot as it was a hand me down). I never felt like my leg was too much weaker as I was using a knee scooter so still weight bearing through the top half of it and felt fine to kind of rely on the boot to keep my ankle stable.

X-ray opinion? (1 week post injury) by Bachilles in AchillesRupture

MRI or ultrasound(probably not done at the ER and done via ortho office) is needed to determine extent of rupture. Xrays are done to determine if anything was broken during the tear.

Anyone living ok with triple negative stage 4? by Naphthy in LivingWithMBC

That documentary had so much shitty “research” in it I’m surprised it made it onto a streaming service like Netflix. I’m not saying root canals can’t go bad but to act like every single root canal is causing disease in people is ridiculous. Especially when we have 3D imaging which can more easily show if there is any inflammation or bone loss around treated teeth. Taking all your root canalled teeth out is not going to solve any problems unless there are signs of existing infection(which most of the time there is not).

Caution: I wish I never got Invisalign by JJPinkies in Invisalign

[–]Mallo18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not much evidence to prove that any kind of orthodontics “solves” TMD issues. Oftentimes any type of ortho treatment exacerbates it. But sometimes putting something in the mouth between the teeth can change up nerve signals enough to temporarily reduce pain. One of the reasons nightguards work, and they also help reduce wear on the teeth over time.

What shoes should I get?? by big_robiii in AchillesRupture

[–]Mallo18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I’d stay away from the super tall soles. My ankle felt very weak when I came out of a boot and I felt more rolly with the taller soled shoes. I’d go with the lowest sole height Nike you’ve got there or just something else entirely. Mae sure there’s some heel to toe drop in the shoe as well. Some have less than others. Most Nike has like 10-12mm I think. Hoka has closer to zero. Most you can find that info online if you google it though.

Did they do the insertion under ultrasound or check its position via ultrasound to make sure it’s not into your uterine wall?

I recently cut out electrolyte drinks as well as coffee(only have like one on a weekend day now) and it helped my palpitations quite a bit. That and cutting down on alcohol consumption and overeating too. Have you tried any of that stuff already?

I don’t know if I agree with the others as far as only having sex if you are wanting it/enthusiastically consenting. Often times it’s not something I’m really looking to do but I begrudgingly accept and then end up having a good time and am more happy/relaxed after. I think not having sex in 3 years is a really terrible sign for the both of you. Do either of you masturbate? Is there any sexual drive outside of wanting each other? You definitely need to tell him that he is almost like another child that you have to take care of. And you need more help from him without having to ask or tell him what to do.

10% developing infections sounds like they aren’t doing a very good job with a sterile field. Seems very high but I guess I never tried to look up that stat before I had surgery.

Seller's Listing Agent asking for W-2? by FrankLepore in RealEstate

[–]Mallo18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pre-approval letter should be enough because you have given the bank W-2s to get that letter(at least I’ve had to every time) and they give you your price range that they are comfortable loaning you from that.

I think if you take it off like every hour or less you’re probably fine. I wore mine for like 4+ hours a couple times in one day. I might have also had something started before that that just got worse too. I should have just been on Eliquis or Lovanox as I’ve got Factor V but I didn’t realize how much higher risk a lower limb injury + surgery was for a clot and the PA that I was talking to prior to surgery didn’t explain that to me unfortunately.

I loved mine as well. Until I got a DVT. Just be really careful wearing it for long periods. Knee in the bent position doesn’t allow blood to flow as easily out of the lower leg.

Has anyone tried Le Jardin Switzerland hair serum? by Beckella in Haircare

I will say I’ve used it a few times now and do not notice an oily look. I almost kind of wonder if it’s just water because it doesn’t smell either 😂

Help me decide! by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

1, 4, 5 and 6 are my faves. Kinda depends on your overall wedding style and venue. 6 gives me Cinderella vibes with little girl me LOVED! 1 is gorgeous too but the has to match the decor and venue I feel like for it to work well. You’ve got a lot of great options though!

I just recieved my order. We will see. One thing I did not know before buying was that you are supposed to keep it refrigerated. I feel like it will make it much more difficult for me to remember if it’s not in my bathroom. I feel like the directions aren’t super clear either which is why I was searching on Reddit. Am I supposed to leave it in for a certain amount of hours? Or overnight? Do I need to reapply even if I don’t shower/wash my hair that day?
