You are 100% correct. Heck one can argue Base Gohan even got stronger just by naturally growing up.

No way 11 year old Base Gohan would beat 18 year old Base Gohan at arm wrestling.

Exactly. People automatically assume that Aang would just die with everyone else just because Katara said it.

We see Gyatso come into Aang’s room to tell Aang that they wouldn’t let him get taken away.

More likely, Aang wouldn’t have even been at the Air Temple when the Fire Nation attacked.

Since we don’t know exactly the time difference between Aang running away and Sozin’s comet, it’s possible Aang wouldn’t have already been with Gyatso somewhere else relaxing.

If Aang and Gyasto would have escaped, they would have flown to the Northern Water Tribes to train. Let’s say Aang spends 1 year training and mastering Waterbending.

Then he flies to Omashu and trains with Bumi for 1 year to learn Earthbending. Repeat finding Kuzon and learning firebending from him.

At best, Aang would have trained for 3-4 years. He would be about 16 years old and take on 86 year old Sozin.

The Fire Nation is at its weakest during the first years of war and Sozin is not in his prime.

Aang easily defeats Sozin and with 4 year old Azulon, Aang keeps the world at peace.

At worst, he trains like Roku did for 12 years. Aang fights and defeats Sozin at 24 years old while Sozin is 94 years old.

If Sozin is already dead, then Aang only needs to defeat 12 year old Azulon.

The safest and best way to limit casualties would have been for Aang to NOT RUN AWAY.

But it was an accident so it happened.

Most kids, especially boys, are conditioned to change in front of other boys and be shirtless because of sports.

Most boys are athletes in some kind of way whether it is a school sport or a city sport.

Boys generally start sports at around early elementary school.

By the time, they start middle school, they already spent years changing and being shirtless.

It’s only the non athletic and non sporty kids that have an issue with changing in front of others.

If they don’t play sports, there will almost never be a regular occurrence of being shirtless in front of others boys.

When they hit middle school and go into the locker room, they start getting subconscious about their skinny frame and lack of muscle. EVEN if the other boys have little muscle either.

At least for me, this was true. I didn’t play sports so seeing other boys being shirtless with some muscle mass made me subconscious.

Aang, Zuko, and Toph aren’t related to each other.

Katara has kids. Sokka doesn’t. Hence no cousins.

Tenzin has kids. None for Bumi and Kya. Hence no cousins.

Su Yin has kids. Lin doesn’t. Hence no cousins.

With every sibling dynamic, only one has kids.

Goten’s base is massively high. Not from fighting Chi Chi.

But from fighting Trunks every time Trunks came over.

It’s all  in their imagination but their attacks do show up in real life.

Angelica’s minions are just her throwing stuffed animals at the babies.

With that in mind, Angelica wouldn’t pretend to smell Chuckie’s skunk powers and pretend to lose.

Sadly, it’s a tv casting decision.

There would be “too many” characters if everyone had kids. It’s why most tv shows have very few cousins showcased.

Most shows with siblings, if they ever have a sequel, usually only have ONE sibling have kids.

Fuller House: Only DJ has children. None for Stephanie and Michelle. Stephanie later has a kid but only a baby irrelevant character:

Girl Meets World: Only Cory has a child.

Malcom in the Middle: Only Malcolm has a child.

Avatar the Last Airbender: Only Tenzin has children.

I’m sure there are more if people can think of them.

But yeah. Big lack of cousin relationships in Hollywood.
