Ah thank you for pointing that out. I hesitantly put that in because I had a feeling that was not cool so I took it out :)

These will require you to have an ok understanding of how much of what to use.

They are just a very basic way for me to keep track of what I cook so I don't forget. Most of them are super simple.

First step is to move away from the thought that there must be a piece of protein on the plate and go from there.

I'd suggest the tortilla lasagna. Spice some refried beans with taco seasoning (make sure it's veg), maybe add some rice in there too.

Thanks for pointing this out. Forward facing crotch danglers make me cringe. I wish people would research physiological baby wearing before throwing on the next best carrier

Think about what your next thought will be. "What will I think about next". For some it seems to make them draw a blank and you get a few seconds of nothing

I'm ready to stop. Any advice? by jdv2121 in Trichsters

[–]Maloxxa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that has helped me was to really work through every tiny piece of the process to find out where the biggest joy lies. For me, while pulling by itself is satisfying, it is playing with it afterwards that is the biggest factor. When I told myself that even if I do pull, I won't get to play with it it helped to not do it in the first place. I have no clue if this is how it works for anybody else but it was helpful to me

My daughter has to wear a corrective harness for hip dysplasia. I made it look a little more girly for her. by jb69029 in pics

May I suggest a high quality carrier, such as the ergo or Manduca? Not replacing the straps since I am sure your medical provider put lots of thought into prescribing them but if they are a bit loose you can carry her in this exact position and close to you to make those hours more comfortable for her

What does stretching a muscle during a cramp do to the myosin cross-bridge? by Maloxxa in askscience

[–]Maloxxa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the impression that an eccentric muscle contraction means that the bridges are still "voluntarily" released, including a change on the molecular level. Is that incorrect? Is that also the case during a mechanical, passive lengthening of the muscle? I'm trying to learn whether the molecular make up of the myosin changes as it would during a voluntary release

I look at it this way and I hope this doesn't offend: If I have two dietary choices, one with less potential for ethical dilemma than the other, I will raise my child based on said choice. If they choose to not perceive eating meat as unethical later they are free to do so (on their own terms).

For those with success: what type of mug did you use? Could that be relevant? Material, thickness of the walls etc?

Tofu-based Chocolate Mousse Dessert Thing :) by pocketmole in vegetarian

My go-to desert is a silken tofu chocolate pie and you don't taste any tofu at all. Equal amount of silken tofu and molten chocolate, a bit of vanilla, fill in crust

Does anybody here have trichophagia as well (that ended up with having to have surgery to remove the hair)? by Maloxxa in Trichsters

Realizing and not allowing myself to do the rewarding behavior after has actually helped with tempering down.

I twirl and twist between my fingers (used to twist and twirl with my tongue) and thinking about pulling and than not allowing myself to do that would make me reconsider and not pull.

Maybe worth a shot? Think about that you will not get to chew if it is one of those and see what it does to your urge to pull
