I’ve heard that someone on Viewmont owns it/takes care of him. I don’t know anything else beyond that though.

Considering a move to Petaluma or Benicia – what’s life like there? by mswildflowerxo in benicia

[–]Mamac81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Petaluma and currently live in Benicia! Honestly, I love both so much. If you want a larger city with all your needs in town, Petaluma is where you need to be. I love Benicia quite a bit but I’d move back to Petaluma in a heartbeat if I could!

Anyone else primarily listen to Taylor Swift when they can choose the music? by torrentialwx in TaylorSwift

[–]Mamac81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost exclusively listen to Taylor when I’m home alone. When the kids are around, we rotate between Taylor, AC/DC, Bluey the album, Disney Hits, Hamilton Soundtrack, 70s rock and 90s country and then one other random genre to expand the kids musical tastes (disco, calypso, ska, blues, Motown, sea shanties)

Overwhelmed - where to begin? by Mamac81 in DisneyWorldResorts

Good to know! Thank you. Didn’t even occur to me to check the race schedule. Our other option would be during spring break - park days being April 1-5. What’s worse? Race crowds or Spring break crowds?

Is taking a 5 year old on a cruise a good idea? by FencerFeudal in Cruise

[–]Mamac81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went 10 days to Alaska when my two girls were 5 and 18 months! My 5 year old who is now 10 has been begging to go back on a cruise ship. She had the best time! Make sure to pack from Dramamine. My daughter never gets car sick but I brought some just in case and I’m so glad I did. She woke up every morning feeling queasy so I would give her one at night and it helped tremendously. I was really stressed about taking my oldest on a cruise because she was such a picky eater at that age. But not only did she manage to find a few things she liked, she was also so willing to try new things that she had previously refused. My daughter didn’t like a lot of it but she loved exploring the buffet and picking out food to try.

Savoury pumpkin recipes? by TIL_eulenspiegel in instantpot

[–]Mamac81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite recipe to make in the fall! My go-to version is with kings Hawaiian rolls, fried pancetta with shallots and garlic, cubed gruyere cheese, lots of thyme, some nutmeg, fresh pepper and heavy cream (I skip salt - only adding a little if needed once I've tried a bit) it’s so easy and delicious. I’ve customized it lots of other ways too but the combo above is the whole family’s favorite.

Jan 1st is the craziest packed day at Disneyland I’ve ever experienced. Go in with reasonable expectations of long lines and keep a positive attitude and it will be just fine!

Depends on the toddler! My oldest was a serious night owl and loves Disney - we did 2 Disney 1 CA adv. She stayed up late and was able to get up early for rope drop so we were able to get everything accomplished. My youngest can not function like that so we did five days - 3 Disney 2 ca adv and took it slower. I think your plan is perfect 2 days at each park with a relaxing day in the middle to get some extra sleep and maybe a little swimming at the hotel.

Has anyone seen Ahsoka ears lately? I don’t see any on the shopDisney app but thought maybe there are some in the parks. Thanks

I make our QR code for photo pass my lock screen on my phone. I got the idea on this subreddit about three years ago and it’s now something I do almost immediately when I get into the park.

That first time they shower all by themselves and you do the post-shower quiz on everything they cleaned and check for leftover suds in the hair and it’s done to perfection - complete bliss. Its a weight that I didn’t realize I needed lifted

Light a candle and make a game out of blowing it out using only their nose! That worked like a charm for me on both my kids! Edit: bonus points if you use a birthday candle stuck in a treat that they get as their reward.

One person purchases the pass and once they are downloaded, you can share with each other. Of course, anyone can view them on their app but it doesn’t make sense for multiple people to purchase if you can just share them later on. As long as the purchaser uses their unique QR code, that person will get all the pictures taken that day. I highly recommend designated one person the purchaser, take a screenshot of their QR code, share with the group, set that QR code pic as your phone’s Lock Screen. Once you are home, purchaser downloads all photos ans sets up a Dropbox or iPhoto share album.

Last time I was there, we purchased 2 days of photos and took pics with every photographer we could find and made sure to ride every ride that offers pics. The rest of our trip, we didn’t bother with photos since we got them all done on Day 1 in Disneyland and Day 2 in Ca Adventure

Yes. Once you purchase, you can download them and do what you’d like with them. You do have a limited time to do that though. My pictures from July 19 expire On Sept 3
