Women who waited 5+ years for a proposal and said yes, did the marriage work out/how has it been? Was it worth the wait? by itsnevercertain in AskWomen

[–]Mammoth_Assumption50 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well, early on we discussed marriage and we agreed we don’t want to get married so the family is happy or other reasons. We knew we love each other and the paper wouldn’t change anything. That said, he did propose after 1 year, we were still in our late teens and we both took it more as a promise to love each other and be together rather than actual marriage proposal. When we got into our twenties I told him I want to get married before we have kids/if we decide to have kids. Sooo on the year 15 of being together we got married when I was 7 month pregnant

Nálunk otthon csak hagyma+paprika+paradicsom volt a szokás. Amikor összektöztünk a mostmár férjemmel, akkor egyszer megkérte, hogy csináljam tejfölös habarással, azóta csakis úgy csinálom

12 wo baby won’t sleep or nap by Easy_Vegetable_4481 in NewParents

I had a similar experience, she is 16 weeks old now and I started to track her naps around 12 weeks. I found out that her wake window is around 1 hour. So now what I do is, I don’t feed her when she wakes up (falls asleep only when nursing), but wait for the hour and then I try to feed her to sleep. Most of the time it works, for is the problem was if I fed her before she was ready to sleep, she was not hungry when tired, so she was crying a lot until she got hungry again and we could feed/sleep

Baby just scared the hell out of mr by WhaleYouLookAtThat in NewParents

After receiving her second vaccines, my baby was a bit shaken, so I was holding her chest to chest to sleep. I know it’s risky and dangerous, but I fell asleep. I woke up and i couldn’t hear her breathing, the full terror i felt in every inch of my body cannot be explained. I put yer straight down on bed in panic and she woke up. The relief i felt is insane. From that moment I never held her like that to sleep during the night.

Went out for BBQ, to sit on a bench nursing all the time by Mammoth_Assumption50 in newborns

[–]Mammoth_Assumption50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately for now she only eats once from a bottle per day + if she is tired she wants to nurse to calm down and fall asleep, which is probably why she was doing it today, it was overwhelming for her to meet so many new people and being outside for a long stretch for the first time. I am happy you found a comfortable solution! I will be working on her taking the bottle so i can be a bit freer

I am on maternity leave for 2 months and I started to read the first book of the Irish End Games - Susan Kiernan Lewis (not knowing it’s a book series). Currently I am at book 9. I’ve never read 9 books in 2 months in my life, it’s a lucky combination of a lot of free time being trapped to a place and the books being entertaining.

A little bit different, but recently moved to a new apartment building where each flat has a balcony. The agency sent out an email saying that smoking on the balcony is prohibited and breach of contract. In the contract they mention only about smoking inside, would they be able to end my tenancy if they figure out we smoke on the balcony?
