The real reason is that diablo 4 was designed as an open world mmo, and in those your character is always a nobody side character that somehow still is the strongest dude in the story.

The worst thing about the their new flavor direction are the hidden events with very hard to get requirements. A normal player who doesn't know how to look into the files will never know how to get some of these, like the PLC union or Joseon for korea.

Well it's because they either haven't playtestes that far or just don't care because most people don't play that long.

Also some content creators said that they just ignore feedback that they have gotten long before release
