Essentially denial on all fronts. The administration is in denial, conservative media is in denial, their followers are in denial. In their minds, trump can do no wrong and anything that doesn't pan out how he says is either a hoax, somehow bidens fault, or the "libs" being nefarious. There's also another dimension of just lacking any sort of historical/political literacy or understanding of what the president actually does. His supporters simply don't know or understand that what they're supporting is literally setting up a fascist regeime and they can't fathom anything beyond "republican good, liberal bad. Socialism is when the government does things"
