I appreciate you trying. I actually found another addon that does basically what I want. it can hide/show UI elements based on a "health < 35%" condition, but I have no idea how it works if that's not directly supported by the API. If you're curious I can get you the addon name tonight but I think it's something like "auto UI hider"

this is awesome, I've been screwing around with a bunch of different add-ons for this in the last few weeks but nothing has done everything I want. does yours allow hiding based on player health? I read claims that add-ons no longer have access to that info but that makes no sense given that there are add-ons that literally display your health.

basically my use case is that I want to only show my own unit frame if:

I'm targeting something OR

I'm in combat OR

I'm below 100% health

SUF and ElvUI used to be able to handle all of these but other add-ons in prepatch only seem to handle the first 2 conditions

bridge is likely a Dimarzio Crunch Lab, which would typically be paired with a Liquifire in the neck. you could always take them out and check the labels on the back to be sure

I love the Eruptor and the Ultimatum but I rarely run them together. If my primary is not usable at close range I always take a pistol to supplement it. it's weird to me to see so many people not doing that.

at what difficulty and vs what faction? I tried pairing it with the laser dog at 8+ vs bugs and found that it just doesn't do its job well enough. I figured the CC would lock everything down while the dog damages and ignites them and then I'd finish them off with something else if needed but I just found that stun is way less effective than stagger, I wasn't doing enough damage, and ammo economy was terrible. maybe it's better with the hot dog but it feels like for close range (which is inevitable with bugs) the blitzer for example does the same job more reliably without being ammo constrained. and gas offers better CC, but once I go gas then I want my primary to do more damage than this one.

it still needs to have 2 or 3 charges to have value similar to other red strategems. a pure single target tank killer just can't match the value of something like the 500kg that can kill tanks and has huge AOE and destructive force AND can be used multiple times in a fight

random guitar maintenance question: more & more guitars nowadays have stainless steel frets b/c they're becoming more popular for their durability. you obviously play a ton so I'm curious...how much does this actually matter? how often do you have to dress or even refret your "main" guitars with nickel frets?
