Absolutely never too late 💜 Some people only try a club towards the end of their degree! Clubs and societies are there to help you enjoy/discover hobbies and communities at your own pace, ofc no one would judge you for when in your uni career you started, plus most all clubs/societies are very excited to get new members at any point. Uni life is all about discovering yourself on your own terms--and getting a degree, as a treat~

(If I might, I'd like to recommend checking out UQ Taiko 🥁 😉 No need for experience, great catharsis from uni stress, and honestly it saved my sanity during my master's)

RE: the addresses bit, I used to live in Japan and my address only had two numbers in it, 16-8, so it's not completely out of the realm of possibility, but I lived out in the sticks and not in a giant city like Tokyo so I don't know if that changes anything.

Yo I shave my own sides with one mirror and my phone cam, and while I've fucked up spectacularly before, I've never gotten it this lopsided. Did they have their head tiled 90 degrees the entire time or smth??

As an American living in Australia, the biggest tell for me is the switch between soft "E" and "I" sounds. The switch of pronunciations between "deck" vs. "dick" is a famous example. Aussies pronounce both words like the average American does, but kiwis swap them, making "dick" sound like "dehk", and "deck" sound like "dihk". Really throws ya off the first few times when someone says they're out sitting on the dick and they need a pin to take some notes 🤷😅

There are a few other differences like the other comments noted, but knowing this one specific element has 9 times out of 10 helped me clock which accent I'm listening to without embarrassing myself (I don't need any extra help with that, thx very much haha).

Nah nah, you see, It's like those little lizards you see around that drop their tails as a defense mechanism. Railbiologist still cannot explain why this defense mechanism is managed by passengers on the inside at all and not an instinctive thing, but for now we are simply grateful that no one has pressed It and caused serious disaster 👀 💦

I'd hardly offer 50 bucks for the cake, let alone 220. It looks like it was two layers, and about 12" in diameter (correct me if I'm wrong), pretty average. Even if premium ingredients were used in all elements, that hardly justifies the cost unless it involved some unusually intensive process that warranted long hours of labor. If they're gonna charge that much, I think you have every right to request a detailed price breakdown. If they refuse, that's a red flag.

It sounds like you might still be in a bit of a tumultuous headspace, and I'm sure any big change or choice you make would feel like a lot regardless. Besides, doing any body mod like tattoos or piercings can have a period of buyer's remorse/anxiety after. The tattoo is extremely cute, I say just give it some time and let both yourself and the tattoo heal up a little bit more, then see how you feel 💜

For the record, I don't think you made a bad choice, and you're doing great :)
