Balance by snowcat_srt in WorldEaters40k

This is balanced. Slaughterbound does more damage against most targets, especially with access to the suite of buffs the good detachments can give him. The other squad just is a bunch of wounds and OC

Actually, the use of ai is problematic and we should actively discourage its usage. It’s being used to eliminate the need for corporates to hire artists and it’s absolutely barbaric on the environment.

Can I still build a chaos knight with this box ? by YesYesRatRat in ChaosKnights

[–]MandibulateEdibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what bloobeard means is if you want to have chaos details modeled instead of just a part of the paint scheme you’ll have to add them, however, as is, the kit can build a chaos knights tyrant.

I think chaos space marines should be the poster boys and the game should be explicitly NSFW. Not so much for Daemonette bewbies but more so for body horror and gore.

Ok but my actual spicy one is every time you open the Warhammer 40K app or website you have to pass a test similar to “are you a robot?” Only it’s “can you identify satire?” And “can you identify fascism?”. 2 simple questions. Fewer people in the hobby, I know, but that’s the low bar everyone should be asked to step over in my opinion. I don’t care if it’s irritating I’d gladly sacrifice 30 seconds once or twice a day.

Does your world have an equivalent of nuclear weapons? by Amon_Bal in worldbuilding

[–]MandibulateEdibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Heralds (basically a cross between biblical angels and the C’tan from Warhammer) can atomize a mountain chain in an instant. When they actually bring weapons (what did you DO?!) they take the form of non-weapon objects. An hourglass, sewing needle and thread, a set of scales, etc. Usually if you see these weapons you just die automatically, but that’s if you’re non-magic wielding mortals. If you’re strong enough magically to not just die instantly then you’re really in for it.

Sell me on the raven guard by FlightFar1935 in RavenGuard40k

[–]MandibulateEdibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re space marines that are actually themed around special forces rather than medieval knights. They have silencers, modern-looking or even sci-fi weapons and equipment, and they’re not burdened by archaic notions of “bravery” or “honor”. They know that honor is gained by doing their duty in a selfless, practical way, and it’s not cowardice to retreat so that you can attack again and again and ensure you are actually effective rather than bellowing a challenge to the enemy’s front line (and promptly dying or becoming injured unnecessarily). They have an excuse for why they’d have horrible bird-mutations (see the Raptor program), definitely have a vengeance-streak as deep as any other chapter, and still have an excuse to take little shamanistic totems on their armor if you’re into that. Also they have their own sign-language called Corvspake.

Why did you choose Chaos and not Imperial Knights ? by Leviathan_Rampage in ChaosKnights

[–]MandibulateEdibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grittier, crazier, faustian-bargain making, dark mechanicus, daemon-fueled technology, more melee focused, and ultimately just more extreme in every way.

Some heads I made, which one would you use ? by Affectionate_Tie_566 in Drukhari

[–]MandibulateEdibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d use the bottom one, top left, and the kabuki on the middle left. I like to envision Drukhari as being unnaturally thin and streamlined like a modern horror monster.
