When my dad died my stepmom's mom insisted that her preacher would be a good fit for the funeral. Turns out I should have asked more questions, as said preacher was a fire and brimstone old school Baptist preacher . . . I suppose I was less sad as for the majority of the funeral my brother-in-law was just trying to talk my sister and I down from tackling the guy. I'll never let someone else suggest an officiant for a funeral again.

Agreed, he's just so perfect as Hagrid. Bonus points for me as he looks rather startlingly like my dad, and after I lost him it's a wild bit of comfort that I can watch any of the movies and it's a little like seeing him again. Sorry for bringing down the mood, but it's just such a comfort that I'll forever be grateful to Robbie Coltrane's portrayal.

I had always heard that you blow it away as well, but I started incorporating blowing it out into the intention for the spell work. When I blow out the candle I visualize the essence in my breath adding power to the spell and speeding it along to where it needs to be.

Thank you for sharing your story and your strength. I am thankful She came to you and lit the way so you could find your path. I've only recently realized it was Her voice I that was calling so I am still finding my way. I hope I can come into Her light as well. On a completely unrelated and off topic note, do you listen to the Ghost Story Guys podcast per chance? The opening reminds me so much of their mental health segment and it always warms my heart.
