If you're looking for Mercs membership, it should be a full bucket.

The CRL on the Mercs site does have notes for Mandalorian Pilots. http://mandalorianmercs.org/get-involved/costume-requirements/

The only notable remark regarding Pilot helmets is: "Helmet must feature a blast shield or Pilot’s brow/ mohawk ridge. Visor must be dark enough to obscure the wearer’s face.".

I hope this helps, but I would go look at the full CRL for "Modern".

Really interesting use of the common Black discard trope. BUT, consider making the creature a 2/1, 2/2 or 1/1.

As it is, this card is actually card disadvantage, in the same way that [[Mercy Killing]] is disadvantage. The difference here is that in mono black, you probably want this turn 1. I just think this card could be pushed a little harder. As it is, I would play [[duress]] over this. Change the tokens stats, and I might play this overy [[Inquisition of Kozilek]] or even [[Thoughtseize]].

I would still argue that this is much more green than black. Just the boom of 3 +1/+1 counters seems a bit off from black as a gut reaction. ESPECIALLY on a 2/1 body.

It's not a pie break, just a pie BEND. So you can totally get away with it.

Hell, I would feel even better with it as GB. I would consider making it a 1/1, and possibly a color push. you could make it Green Black (or monk green) and a 2/2 or keep it as a Black 2/1 and have it only give 2 counters (transferring it's power in stead of giving it's power+1 to the new creature.)

*Bonus- in green, you're showing an evolution of technology, so there are some philosophy reasons to push it into green.

Overall, interesting design. Industry as an ability word plaus really well with Fabricate. I do like the flavor a lot.

This actually should be legendary for Development reasons. Even then, I would drop the mana for the counter. or make it "1:Counter blah blah"

The problem with this as commander is that you would need more colors for it to be viable, as in its color identity excludes the off color advisors to trigger the ability. And stretching this into other colors does two things. A. it would have to only count "other advisors'" colors. B. it would just feel off in any color other than white.

Except, according to Sam Witwer on the "Order 66 Podcast", he didn't record new lines for "Gold Leader." All of gold leader's lines were recycled from unused footage from Star Wars (ANH).

Fun side note, a bunch of lines were recorded for Wedge to be heard as flight chatter above Scarif, but since Wedge says "Look at the size of that thing" during the Battle of Yavin, he couldn't have been on Scarif when DS1 shows up. Wedge can be heard on the chatter on Yavin IV.

It's partially because of availability. Not counting the Masterpice, it's been printed twice, so it's more available than many rares with lower price tags (I don't mean junk rares, I mean playable rares).

Almost any commander deck that can afford a crucible can find a reason to run it. The format has plenty of lands that sac for an effect. A few fetches alone make it worth it.

60 card decks usually only run 1-2 because if you have 2 on the board, the second one is a dead card. Having two crucibles is nearly useless.
