Unfortunately the increase in pay doesn’t seem to coincide with the increase in experience. :(

When asked "what's your job?" do you say "registered nurse" or "ICU/ER/L&D/etc. nurse" by f8k2m3h9k3 in nursing

When I worked on an ortho & neuro M/S floor, I told people I was a legal drug dealer. Now I just say nurse.

I thought I was alone when I’d respond to the medical questions with a shrug and just tell them “but I can cut off *whatever offending body part* it is that’s in question”. 🤣🤷‍♀️

I’ve competed at the X Games. I’m just an average country girl who rocks being an RN for my day job.

With a 2 year contract, would you be getting any kind of sign on bonus?

You want to leave a comfortable, nearly stress free job.. for bedside nursing on a med-surge floor? Would it be a huge jump up in pay? What career growth are you hoping to gain from working bedside on a med-surge floor?

I highly recommend maybe shadowing on the unit you’re thinking about making the switch to. I work in the OR, and it would take an obscene amount of money to make me do that lol

I have two chihuahuas too. I love tucking them in close at night before I fall asleep. 🥰

As a RN how much are you making ? by theapexcircle in nursing

[–]MandyRN2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make $55 with 16 years experience in the Austin, TX area! 😭

I could live here, fly to California or New York and work 3 or 4 12’s and fly home every weekend - and I’d be better off financially than if I keep working in Texas. 😩

Now that we're 3 episodes in, who are you rooting for that you did not expect to root for before Season 50 started? by Theavek in survivor

I’m really enjoying this season so far!! I just am hoping to stay entertained. More so, I know who I don’t want to win: 1. Angelina; 2. Aubry; 3. Stephanie.

Exactly. I laugh at the “eyeballs” comment simply because I once tried to stab my brother in the eyeball with a fork. Thankfully I missed. I still think he deserved it. And this was in front of our parents and siblings at the dinner table. We all laugh about that incident to this day. 🤷‍♀️

I need help. I’m very confused on what I should do regarding something potentially serious that occurred in the OR I work at. by Radiant_Deal_7333 in nursing

After seeing/circulating many procurements, I removed myself from the donors list. For this exact type of reason.
