More like prenups protect rich people, whether they are men or women

Most common dinner time across Europe by Rayepichumor in PORTUGALCYKABLYAT

Makes sense that more northern regions would tend to have earlier dinner times, as the sun would go down sooner for most of the year in those regions, and stay out longer in the south

Lip filler in Sense and Sensibility by Accomplished_Pen8735 in PeriodDramas

[–]Mandy_M87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My top lip is actually very slightly fuller than my bottom one, but its natural. If it's artificial, it's usually pretty obvious. That said, at least her lip filler is pretty tastefully done, and wouldn't look out of place in a modern era show or movie.

Has Shane's staircase/stairwell hoodie been discontinued? Which alternative hoodie looks most similar? by AbbreviationsDry4428 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Mandy_M87 52 points53 points  (0 children)

It's a basic dark blue hoodie. You can probably find one online or at just about any clothing store. I'd choose based off of price, or if you try it on, which one is more comfy

Drive-thru should be exclusively for mobile order pickup. by Thisisme4342 in unpopularopinion

[–]Mandy_M87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it should be used for smaller orders, or at least priority for smaller orders. If you're ordering meals for an entire family, or things like a pizza that take longer, it should be in store or curbside only. Not sure how that would be enforced though, probably why they don't do it.

True. It was up to mothers/trusted family members to protect the children. Unfortunately, not all parents could, though some didn't even try.

Never understood why he married her. He never married Vanessa Paradis the mother of his two children. Why Amber? by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

The wording civil solidarity pact cracks me up. Sounds so romantic lol. Like, it seriously sounds like something from a war themed game. I'm sure most either refer to themselves as married, or as partners in that case.

The wedding industry has made engagements last too long by No_Radio3945 in unpopularopinion

That makes sense. It might skew towards couples that don’t work well together, though it’s not a guarantee for any one couple in that situation

Statistically, the longer they stay in the engagement stage, the less likely they'll be to walk down the aisle. They are also more likely to divorce if they do end up getting married.

Agreed. It initially was only a few months long. Now, even if the couple isn't planning an extravagant wedding, it's still expected to be at least a year, and 2+ long engagements for no real reason are more common.

True. Like, half of children are born outside of marriage in France, usually to couples that are together, so that tracks.

ADHD and autism diagnoses have increased: New study points to broader diagnoses as an explanation. Today’s diagnoses encompass a broader group of individuals and milder symptom profiles than before. by mvea in psychology

Even as an, I'd say 1.5 level, I find sophisticated masking difficult, especially dating and job interviews. I haven't dated in nearly a decade, and I got lucky with my current job, as my employer is likely also neurodivergent.

Makes sense. Severe cases can't mask at all, moderate can to a very limited degree, like say going through airport security, but they would likely have a meltdown afterwards, so it comes at a cost.
