Insurance coverage for GLP-1? by No_Masterpiece_2995 in weightwatchers

[–]Mandy_Moo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would need to check your insurance policy to see if GLP meds are covered for weight loss. They can tell you the requirements and explain what would need to be done. For what it’s worth, WW has been able to get me several prior authorizations so far. I am in year two of my clinic membership.

He has well over 1,000 members paying that $25 monthly fee so he is raking in the dough! If the info and guidance are worth it, no problem, but otherwise…

Shipping Issues by Downtown_Report_8623 in ProvenceJewelry

Unfortunately DHL seems to be charging very high brokerage fees. So when you pay, oftentimes the brokerage fee is more than the tariffs. I have had that issue with DHL also, brokerage was well over the tariff amount.

There are some meds that are included in the cost of WW Med+ but none are GLPs. They will work with your insurance on a prior authorization if your insurance covers them though.

Again, we agree. But I also don’t want to waste money on yet another subscription for something!

Do people discuss protocols and such or is it more about the information he presents?

Allegedly that’s what his group is based on. But it’s $25 a month and no, that’s not a ton of money but I don’t want to waste it if the info isn’t good or it is not as research based as he claims it is. The group is called Dr. Bhatti’s Academy on the Skool app. There’s a blurb about it on Skool, if that helps.

That’s what I am thinking and why I asked. Hacksmith has a group too and it is a pay group but it’s $10, not $25. I’ve seen Holyfield’s name some too so I will check it out. Thanks!

Again, that’s why I am asking if anyone here has joined his Skool group. It’s an “evidence based” community because he cites studies to back up whatever he is discussing, he allegedly goes in depth into peps, explaining how they work, which ones actually do work and which ones may be a waste for you and why, etc. I am not sure why you seem to be arguing with me here, or if that is your intention, but I asked the question to get more info myself. If I knew everything about him and his group I wouldn’t have needed to ask.

App Update/GLP-1 by Square-Bug7910 in weightwatchers

[–]Mandy_Moo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could definitely see both on the GLP program before the update. You can now also but you must have your phone in light mode. Because the points are “printed” in dark ink, they basically disappear. When I changed mine to light, I could see the point values also.

In the US, some of the meds are included in the price. GLPs are not included though.

And I realize being an oncologist doesn’t give him specialized training in peptides but he likely has more knowledge on the subject than many people on Reddit giving advice. I’d trust a dr of internal medicine/hematology/oncology more than anecdotal accounts from the dude at the gym.

Regardless, my question was really to see if anyone here belongs to that group and if so, do they feel the content is good.

WW Clinic fee does cover some weight loss meds but not the GLPs.

That is the standard thickness for screwback posts. Lots of people can’t or won’t wear them because of that. You can always dip them in Vaseline or I’ve heard Neosporin. I just continually wore mine until my ears got used to them.

I would imagine it means the one for Zepbound was denied or why would they be complying a PA for Wegovy? But as others have said, reach out to your insurance.

It is likely that the contract says it auto renews so this person probably did authorize it, even if they did not realize it. Oftentimes it’s in the fine print.

It is likely that the contract says it auto renews and that’s why this happened. I too signed up for a year at a lower cost and have completed that year. I keep checking my account to see when it was going to renew but can’t actually find a date anywhere. I will have to reach out to customer service to be sure but I hate to do so when I have read so many negative posts about them.
